Dear Parents that have children that will be entering third grade, PLEASE do not stress out over the supply list. If you would like to bring in things throughout the year instead of at the beginning that would be fine! We understand it can get over-whelming!

I am constantly seeing on social networks people consistently not using correct grammar and not even using punctuation. Sad

I find it more offensive that you would nitpick and miss the message - I think this is great

I have been that stressed out parent who went out and bought things I couldn't afford, 5 packs of paper, etc...only to learn that they put it one pile and share with everyone. I'm all for sharing but not when i'm cutting out other things in my life to afford the basics at the beginning of the school year. it eventually came to me: It's not like they are going to kick my child out if I don't send 15,000 packs of construction paper with him on the first day. Mine are in jr. high/high school now. I won't even bother until a couple of days before and the most expensive thing will be a flash drive.

or did a secretary or some other employee type the message. Even so, I would probably just chuckle to myself about it. The message is clear, so the lack of "proper" grammar did not interfere with the information being conveyed.

I was sitting here trying to think of the word her 12 year old son used, well not a word. When I told him no such word he replied his teacher used it also. I hear words from kids (another 12 year old) it "hurted." No one tells the kids these are not proper words. I correct and let them know but then probably regress to what is accepted in school.

But then people who assume usually are. If the mother of the children don't object, then surely no one else's business to say so many more things to focus on. If a kid around me says I learned, it hurted, I goes ....you can hold your tongue but I speak up. Never any objections from the mothers so people here just can take a hike.

I just don't think it's my business to correct how - other people talk. Life is too short for that.

I talked about words that glaringly stand out wrong to most people, underline the most here. When you say "I learned," "I hurted." You do understand this or maybe not. Some people here really dense.

we have something called star..a reduction on property tax, (not a lot..but I'm not proud.)there is an income limit..$500,000...and then there is no eligibility! He was granted star twice in 2014( I think that may have been the year)..he said it was a clerical error...pure fantasy! Have not heard from my friend about her son or whether her son survived the surgery. Got a bad feeling. She is so good to contact me. I was supposed to go to doctor today out of town and my car gave me fits. Well, now car repairs but not till next week. Hate that everything seems to happen on a holiday. My friend doesn't want me to go into detail, but her son is going to have a long rehab and she is not hopeful that he will be back to normal if at all.
