My brother to the (eBay) rescue

Sell stuff on eBay! Etsy! Amazon.com! Wave of future! Etc etc etc....

I signed up with eBay (again), start getting those emails about how easy it is to sell stuff, so EASY to upload pics, write description, discount, etc...OVERwhelming.

So my brother comes over, sees the stuff I'm making, and says nonchalantly, "I bet I could sell that on eBay." (He sells stuff on Amazon AND eBay). And I was like, "oh you could, could you?" So he had his camera, took pics, and all I have to do is send him a description - I said, "should I be cutesy, or just descriptive?" and he said, "you can be cutesy."

So I have these other things I make, and he said, if you can get a box to ship them in, he'll upload those to eBay too. YES, I do know how to get boxes for them!

So we'll see what happens. Moral of the story is: If there is some hump you have to get over, and you feel like you CAN'T...maybe there's somebody around who CAN. Rack your brains and think "who do I know?"

You'd be surprised what sells on places like eBay! I had two large garbage bags full of pinecones that I threw away from my backyard. Then, I found out I could have sold them on eBay!!

I know I have a good eye for trends, because I've bought stuff at Salvation Army, cheap, that NOBODY wants...then I go online, and that stuff's selling for $15 a pop - and I only paid a dollar or so for it at "Sally Anne's."

Well, we'll see what happens. I love using recycled materials, especially cardboard, although I have been told, I paint too well to be painting on cardboard. You know, I should be painting on more longlasting materials, if I'm going to be selling stuff. So I need to check out the "cardboard market" on eBay.

I saw some great Halloween paintings someone had done on eBay - but they were selling the PRINTS - ka-ching! So that's another possibility.

Then on Martha Stewart yesterday, they had artists who'd painted Easter Eggs - those were being offered for hundreds, and in some cases, a few thousand, dollars.

no fees associated with that. Also Bookoo.com if your city has a page. Craigslist hasn't done well for me personally. I got stood up the last time someone contacted me about a sale through that website so I gave it up.

My brother has been diagnosed with cancer in his remaining kidney. He had one kidney removed with cancer then metastasized to pancreas and had that surgery. Please pray for my friend and her brother-in-law who is suffering with ALS. He also has been diagnosed with MS and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
