I have the worst case of eczema/allergies/whatever that I've ever had.  The rx the doctor gave me only made it worse.  I have another call into her, but in the meantime this has rapidly increased, has developed tiny little blisters and itches like heck.   Please pray for healing. If any of you have any home remedies, I'd appreciate them.  I've about given up on traditional medicine. ...

Prayers Needed Jun 27, 2012
I am having very bad GERD symptoms again.  This has been going on for a long time, and I take medications periodically which seemed to really help.   I am having symptoms of food sticking in the throat (occasionally), and burning.    I have an appointment next Tuesday with my primary care physician.  Knowing the possibilities is scaring me to death.   I am fearful of the test, and also of hearing the results afterwards.   Your prayers are gr ...

Prayers NeededOct 22, 2014
Hello all.  I need all the prayers I can get.  I know there are those with worse situations than myself but for me my situation is getting unbearable.  I am an MT trying to help make ends meet with almost no work lately.  My husband makes the bulk of the money but the money I do make helps to fill in the gaps where his paycheck isn't enough.   I just need prayer for direction and for God to open a door for us to get out of this vicious cycle of barely having enough ...

Prayers Needed - See MessageNov 28, 2009
I feel weird asking for prayers from strangers, but I could really use some strength now. We got behind on bills due to not enough income and now as a last resort we are facing bankruptcy.  We got behind a bit on the mortgage when trying to keep all of the payments up but now after a year we still have been trying to get a loan modification to get caught up.  I am so scared of losing our home. These things scare me so much but what I am afraid of most is my husband.  He was diag ...

Prayers Needed For My 15yo MR SonSep 11, 2014
I divorced my kids' "dad" in 2006.  He has done nothing but cause major problems (DD was suicidal and we were all on meds for depression and anxiety) and I was told in this state (OK) once he turned a certain age, he does not have to go to his dad's anymore.  I would be SOOOO happy if that were true and he does not have to go there anymore.  DD is now 18 so she does not have to, but felt like she had to be polite to him because he has a tendency to fly off the handle at ...

Prayers Needed For Best FriendApr 28, 2015
I am sitting here trying to work between crying.  My best friend called me last night to inform me that her liver disease is no longer responding to the meds she has been on.  They are going to run a set of tests to see if there is another medication that will help her.  She has never been a drinker or a smoker.  I am closer to this woman than my own sisters.  She has gotten me through many hard times.  She knows me better than I know myself.  I can't ima ...

Thoughts And Prayers NeededNov 03, 2015
My daughter's best friend was critically injured in a car accident Sunday evening. My daughter is beside herself with fear.   ...

Prayers Desperately NeededFeb 12, 2016
My husband cheated on me, told me he cheated on me, asked me to forgive him, he feels lost and alone and doesn't know what to do.  We've been married for 21 years this year, together for 24.  While we both are at fault for the marriage having come to this, I just don't know what to do anymore.  I'm lost and have no one to talk to thanks to working from home for the past 13 years and having no friends.  My family is available to help me with this.  I d ...

Death Panel: European Court Says Terminal Baby Must Die DespiteJun 30, 2017
A European court has ruled that the parents of a critically ill baby cannot privately pay for him to go to the United States for “experimental treatment”, and the child must stay in a British hospital to “die with dignity”. The parents of 10-month-old Charlie Gard are reported to be “utterly distraught” after the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) denied them a final effort to save their dying son. After losing a battle in the UK’s Supreme Court, they had appealed to the cour ...

I Have CancerSep 24, 2011
I consider this my MT community.  I feel we have a sense of sisterhood here. Renal cell carcinoma.  What I thought was bouts of kidney stones for the last year has been a massive tumor growing on my left kidney.  CT scan reveals a left lower pole renal mass measuring 10 x 7 cm.  I am scheduled for left nephrectomy on Friday, but hopefully sooner.  Knowing this thing is growing inside me is horrible.  I am handling it very calmly, which is surprising even to m ...

I have just found out this past week that I have cancer.  The primary is unknown at this time but there are mets to the liver.  I will have a liver biopsy on Tuesday.  I ask for prayers for my family that they will be able to handle whatever is in store.   I believe in prayer and I would appreciate any that are said for us. Thank you and God bless. ...

CancerSep 07, 2013
I just had an ultrasound and a biopsy the other day for postmenopausal bleeding. The doctor said he had to test for cancer of course. I found out by many sources that cancer cannot live in your body if your pH balance is over 7.1. So I thought I would share some of this with you. Cancer cannot survive in an alkaline body, which is pH over 7.1. Keep your pH balance over 7.1 by eating these alkaline foods. Of course, the ultimate goal is balance. Eating too many alkalizing foods can lead to its ...

Followup On My Skin CancerJan 11, 2010
Well, I had my surgery on New Year's Eve, and came away with an 8 cm incision wrapping around my dorsal forearm.  I got the pathology back and it was a well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma, 3 x 3.5 cm, all margins clear.  Right now looking at the incision it's hard to imagine that he's correct when he says it will eventually be just a very thin white line.  It looks like someone tried to cut my arm off.  I have to go back every three months for a recheck ...

Breast Cancer Awareness, Perhaps Going Too Far?Oct 07, 2013
In an e-mail from child's 1st teacher, there is a notation that October 15th is wear pink day in honor of the Komen foundation.   While I think it is wrong to over-shelter kids, I also have to wonder in this case if this would be going perhaps too far.  It is nothing I will raise a stink over, my son will not be wearing pink as he does not have anything pink but I am just kind of baffled by this. ...

Mother Has Stage IV Lung Cancer... Not Sure What Happens NextFeb 04, 2010
My mother was diagnosed the last week of December with lung cancer that has spread to the liver, adrenal glands, and brain.  She had complications such as left-sided weakness, internal bleeding (last week transfused with 6 units of blood) and also has a blood clot in her leg.  The oncologist pretty much said he couldn't treat the cancer any longer because of the possibility of more internal bleeding.  My parents feel like they've just been written off and that my mo ...

Friend Diagnosed With Stage 1B Esophageal CancerMay 19, 2010
Hi all, I have a guy friend who is only 42 years old that was diagnosed with stage 1B esophageal cancer. They were able to remove the tumor and he is now going through radiation treatments 3 days a week for 4 weeks. I would like to make up a care package to give to him, but unsure what I should put in it. I was thinking some inspirational reading material and he is a huge Led Zeppelin fan. I have also heard Ensure or Boost is something good to be taking as a supplement and have thought of some ...
