Give me a spoon and a jar of peanut butter and I'm a happy camper!!

Anything super spicy... - Have to have it!

I'm not talking Tabsco spicy, but habernero spicy, so I eat a lot of Indian, Thai and Mexican. Unfortunately, my husband has the gastrointestinal fortitude of a 4-year-old, so we are always at odds about what to eat. I make a lot of my own hot sauces, so I just add to my plate and spare him the heat.

Yep... - Barb

My hubby's homemade hummus and pita bread (sm) - AnaPhylaxis

Honestly, when he makes a batch of that, I'll eat it for lunch AND dinner, pretty much guilt free because it's extremely healthy, especially using the whole grain pita bread, sea salt and olive oil.

He also makes a mean shrimp burrito, with homemade Mexican rice, avocado, grated goat cheese, homemade green salsa, and lots of medium sized prawns...Those I could pretty much eat every day for lunch and dinner, too.

Years ago, before he came into my life, I developed this fixation on bagel dogs...Anyone remember those? I don't know what my fascination with those were, but I literally ate them every day, one for lunch and one for dinner, and it took me a good six weeks to finally decide I didn't want another bagel dog ever again, LOL!

Oh, yeah! This post made me chuckle. - sm

Mr. Bee (deliciously greasy WV) potato chips dipped in either Broughton French Onion Dip or French fries dipped in choc ice cream. I'm trying to gain weight, so..I could also eat my dad's fried potatoes every day.

Recipe I created and we eat it 4 times a week - cheap too

Ground turkey
1 can white beans
1 can tomatoes

Brown the turkey with the seasonings you like. I use taco seasoning, garlic, salt and pepper. When cooked add the beans and tomatoes. Cook til hot and bubbly (about 5 minutes).

That's it. It's fast, it's easy and it's cheap. 1.50 for the turkey, maybe a buck for the tomatos and beans, so is a meal under $5. and it lasts us 2 nights and everytime we eat it DH says he wants it more. We have it with rice and a veggie and other times we put it in a tortilla.

I can also eat chocolate pudding (home cooked type) with cool whip every day.

Lasagne, Kalbi chicken, Tzasiki with sourdough bread. Every day on all of them.

Update On Dog Food...no Go.Mar 21, 2011
Won't touch the 4Health or Taste of the Wild. So, we're done spending a fortune on dog food. We're going back to Beneful. It seems to be the only thing she likes. Thank heavens, we only bought the small bags and they are gone now. On the positive side, as long as she's not eating much, she might lose some weight.  LOL ...

Cat With Possible Food Allergies?Apr 24, 2013
Does anyone have a cat with food allergies?  My white/tabby mix seems to always be itching but does not have fleas.  His white ears are frequently pink and warm and he scratches quite a bit.  Last night I noticed him licking his belly and it, too, was quite pink. We have been round and round with this kitty since we inherited him from my MIL.  He was always a puker and I have improved that condition with different food and hairball treats, but I'm wondering if the pukin ...

Dog Food RecallsSep 04, 2013
I don't know how many people follow the recalls but I need to warn you about another dog food that's NOT on recall. . . Beneful dog food...  Sadly, our baby had ALL of these symptoms, not in order, not daily, and not all of them, so her symptoms weren't recognized. Tests didn't show anything wrong. I did research but it was too late. Her BUN and creatinine was "off the charts" at her last visit and there was no hope for her - yet this never showed up in the other b ...

School Food ProgramJan 25, 2012
Listening to Rush this a.m.  He was saying Michele Obama should abandon her attempts at improving nutrition in the schools.  He said children refuse to eat the tofu that Michele wants them to eat.  What is the point of warping this discussion beyond recognition?  I visited my nephew's school and I was appalled at the school lunch. Chicken nuggets and pizza, etc.  I have never heard Michelle talk about replacing this junk with tofu.  Why not just go ba ...

Update On Dog Food ProblemMar 08, 2011
Well, the very next day, DH went to get Blue Buffalo and instead came home with a 5 lb. bag of 4health ($6) and Taste of the Wild  ($12) instead (he always listens to sales people). We started her on 4health and she didn't touch it the first day unless we put in 1/2 can of wet and veggies. The second day she ate it with no problem. She also seems to be 'full' after eating and isn't crying or whining. The next day, she didn't even touch her breakfast until after lun ...

Food Stamp NationDec 09, 2010
“The lessons of history … show conclusively that continued dependence upon relief induces a spiritual and moral disintegration fundamentally destructive to the national fiber. To dole out relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit.” These searing words about Depression-era welfare are from Franklin Roosevelt’s 1935 State of the Union Address. FDR feared this self-reliant people might come to depend permanently upon government ...

About Picking Up Restautant Food And TipMay 10, 2010
We were talking at my office about picking up restautant food, and whether or not a tip is justified. Example, if you call in an order to a restaurant like Claim Jumper (citing an example a co-worker used) and you swing by to pick it up on the way home, would you tip? Technically, you're not in the restaurant and getting service. Typically, a tip is given due to the service provided by the waitstaff. I said maybe one would be justified if you stayed parked and they brought it to you. I usua ...

Food For Thought..I Found This To Be A Jun 25, 2012
very interesting insight... When I was a child growing up in the late 1940s and early 1950s one of my favorite radio programs was the continuing saga of The Lone Ranger. I would huddle next to the radio every night to follow the adventures of the Lone Ranger and his faithful companion, Tonto. Unfortunately, the program aired just about my bed time and, as often as not, my parents would insist that I miss part of the program and keep to the schedule they'd deemed appropriate. One nigh ...

Food Dyes And HyperactivityMay 18, 2013
I was wondering if anyone else has noticed when their children have food dyes if they get super hyper and do not listen well. I have noticed a pattern with my 3-year-old daughter, especially with the red 40 dye. When we give her anything with the dye in it she turns into a completely different child than her normal self. I don't want to make a mountain out of a mole hill but was wondering if anyone else has noticed this? Thanks. ...

Food For Thought On The Immigration BanMar 17, 2017
Did anyone read it? i did. Liberals and Trump haters are saying it's a Muslim ban. IT IS NOT.  The word Muslim was never mentioned in the EO i read. It explained the reasons very well for why the government wanted the ban on those countries. Don't forget Obama also did a similar thing in 2011. The difference between Obama's EO and Trump's EO is Obama didn't say anything about it. It was a secret. Trump spoke out about it. That's the ONLY difference.&n ...
