Every year I make turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, homemade bread and pumpkin pie. The daughters will bring another dessert or two. These are all traditional foods that my family enjoys, but I am so bored with it. I need some new, fresh, and different ideas. Even if I did something different with the beans or potatoes. We got going on a discussion below about Thanksgiving disasters, and the conversation got to washing turkeys before cooking them. This is not a good practice. You can spread more salmonella and other bacteria washing raw poultry.
