Any home remedies for getting rid of green stuff growing

I guess you would call it mold or mildew, but I thought that stuff was black. It is growing on my porch railings, porch steps, and on the side of the house. I guess there is not enough sun there. What can you use to get rid of it, and perhaps deter it from coming back quickly. Will bleach discolor the vinyl siding, which is not white?

What do you do?

Sounds like moss which will grow in moist, acidic, shady places. I would try a power washer before using any harsh chemicals like bleach or cleaners which might stain or otherwize harm the siding and also not good to get it in the soil or on plants and kill them along with every other living thing it comes in contact with, especially if you have a veggie or herb garden or well. If you don't want to spend $$ for a power washer maybe borrow one. Another idea, maybe just a sponge mop with one of those scouring strips on it and some elbow grease will do the job and if it is really stubborn try just a little bit of some baking soda in the bucket of warm water. Moss likes to be in acid environment and some baking soda will neutralize it and probably kill it safely. Be careful though not too use too much if you have other acid loving plants nearby like azaleas. I guess if you really rinse well any areas where the baking soda and water goes to dilute it this might help prevent damage to your acid loving plants. Moss is such a small plant it should not take much baking soda to kill it. I guess it might even work to put the water/baking soda mixture in a spray bottle and spray on the area. It should kill the moss over time. Respray after rain. People who want moss lawns use buttermilk which is acid to encourage the growth of the moss!

I have it growing on the side of my garage. It happened 2 years ago and I just used Dawn dish soap and it has not come back until now.

I have a few spots of eczema that have flared up and are itching and flaking like crazy. Obivously can't afford a trip to the doctor. Anyone here have any good old-fashioned home remedies to relieve the itch that actually work? Does anyone have experience growing avocados from seeds? I thought you put toothpicks in the seed, suspended it the flat side in water and waited for it to sprout.
