American Idol is so lame anymore

This show and judges are such a bore now. The judges say the same predictable stuff. Its nothing without Simon. ...and they love James Durbin, but when he screams that high note, its horrible... horrible. My friend who teaches music noticed this too. Listening to him on a CD would be painful. Why cant people just sing well and that be good enough? Its all about theatrics, screaming, being different, etc. I used to love watching Idol. I am done wasting my time.

I stopped watching this week. My favorite idol got kicked off last week, Paul who sounded a little like Rod Stewart. Some other idol watchers that I spoke to said --- that the kids voting idol do not even know who Rod Stewart is!!!! So I am out-dated for this stuff.

Was I seeing things or did it look like Steven Tyler had some sort of red mark on his left side of his face. I could not tell if it was his earring. It was quite large.

Simon was the best judge and the most realistic and honest. These new judges love everybody and every performance. Although I do like James, I think that Scotty has the most talent. He is only 17 and his voice is amazing. He has true talent.

Absolutely love James and it's because he reminds me of Adam, love him too. Since I have young daughters I keep up with the latest singers so I know most of the groups/singers whose songs the contestants sing. I do have to say I haven't watched as religiously as I have in the past. I don't miss Simon at all.

Simon was the only legitimate judge. The show is a - joke now, and James makes me nauseous.nm

Anyone remember the old tv show "Queen for a Day." For those who don't, it was a daily tv show from the 50's where several ladies got up and told their sob story and then they used an applause meter to pick the winner. I cant believe some of the ones they cut and some of the ones they kept! This show is getting kind of ridiculous. If that dog ugly, cry baby drama queen gets on...i dont know if I can watch anymore! UGH! Just my opinion... ...

Any comments on the new American Idol. I really enjoyed Wednesday's show I thought it was funny and refreshing. I have not seen Thursday and read where the reviews were not great. I think Jennifer Lopez will learn to say no as time goes on. More and more, people seem to just use cell phones at the store instead of using a list. We were at Krogers a little while ago, and encountered at least 20 people on cell phones while shopping, asking what to get, etc. All ages too, from teens to the elderly. Drives me nuts!!! ...
