I don't need anymore bosses bossing me

Posted: Oct 19, 2012

I have had "bosses" cutting my wages and lettiing me "purchase" health insurance plans that basically don't pay for anything I need, all the while they outsource the work and give themselves bonuses for being so profitable.

So, now Romney is telling "the bosses" that it is okay and not illegal to tell your employees how to vote.  A couple of the richest Republican contributors, the Koch Brothers, sent their employees a list of people to vote for, or else they could "suffer the consequences."  Really, I don't want the bosses that have outsourced my work to tell me how to vote.   It may be legal, but it sure is unethical.

Romney has not stated that he supports the Blunt Amendment, iin fact, he goes to great pains not to address this question.  The Blunt amendment allows your employer (public or private) to approve or disapprove contraception under your health insurance policy.  Sure, you can always purchase this outside of all your other many expenses privately.  Really, I don't want the boss that has cut may wages to have the power to decide if my health insurance will pay for contraception.

Romney does not approve of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.  Why should I not be paid the same as a man doing the same job?   Really, how can you be against that?  Why would you be against that?

I am pretty darn happy with the government regulating the stock market, ensuring safe water and food (I believe we need more enforcement).  I like safe roads and bridges.  I want kids to go to school.  I want everyone to have a fair shake in life.   I am one of "those people" in the 47%.

Well I like Romney, especially after seeing the - episode about Lybia tonight.

There is something seriously wrong with Obama and his administration. Something is not right with Obama and how insensitive he is about the attack was not optimal.

I am also one of those 47%, but I would rather feel safe in my country than birth control pill issue right now.

It's - a whole

lot more than birth control. Romney is "insensitive" about our jobs. What makes you think you will be safer in our country with Romney in? Not criticizing your opinion, just asking.

Obama wants to get rid of 2 million military - employees by January, 2, 2013.

Obama is avoiding the WARN Act set in place because of this election because he knows if the truth came out, the swing states who get wind of these layoffs will probably vote for Romney.

Obama is decreasing our military while Romney wants to strengthen our military. We need to look strong... NOT WEAK. Who is getting stronger is Al-Qaeda.
Where - is

Romney going to get all this money to "strengthen" our miliitary? The same place Bush did after invading 2 countries? Al-Quaeda is not going anywhere, no matter how "strong" our military is. Yes, we need to be able to protect ourselves, but we do not need to be out starting wars. Will Romney attack Iran? That is a concern of mine. You can have a strong military without starting wars.

I would judge Al Qaeda's.... - (see message)

...inability to keep their #1 man (Bin Laden) alive as weak, not strong. In what way do you perceive them to be getting stronger?

Unpopular opinion, I'm sure.... - SK1

Within the last year or so, I read a study (can't remember where or who did it to cite it, but it was a reputable organization) that looked at the wage disparity between men and women. When they factored in amount of education, number of hours worked and years in the workforce, it turned out that women actually earn MORE than men.

Would I like to see women make more money? Of course I would; I'm a woman. But I recognize the fact that (a) I chose to abandon my schooling to raise my family. (b) I took a job, not a career, so that I could be there for them and (c) I've jumped in and out of the workforce over the years and that my husband has put in a heck of a lot more time in his career than I did.

Maybe that explains why women in the White House make 18% less than men?

save the feigned outrage - saw no post condeming - this when M. Obama, Valerie J

did it - or when they shouted from the pulpit, during church services, how "evil" Republicans are. BTW - Check your facts...Billy Boy Clinton was the one that made the push for jobs to go overseas. Obamas puts in a job czar (GE Immelt) that send hundreds of thousands of jobs overseas. Check out GE involvement in the technology MTs use. Where was all your outrage then?

When you actually educate yourself, come back...then there can be an intelligent discussions of FACTS (know your not familiar with that term based on your post). Otherwise, post just more of tired, old yesterday LIb demonization because they have no facts and cannot discuss any issues without the insults.

Okay, I don't want to make this long, but if it is please bear with me, but I will not feel like going back and editing it. I am going to post a link below that I found to be interesting, and I hope you'll read and let me know what you think about it.  It is really making me think twice about politics.  I was raised in neither republican or democrat household.  I have no idea who my parents or grandparents supported.  Later in life as an adult I learned my mom was ...

I'm not close enough to retirement to retire, I am not making enough money working 2 jobs to pay my bills, but I just can't work up any concern for it.  If I lose my jobs I don't know what I'll do but I remain completely disinterested.  I may actually be depressed although I don't feel it.  Any thoughts? ...

Grocery List Anymore? Dec 02, 2009
More and more, people seem to just use cell phones at the store instead of using a list. We were at Krogers a little while ago, and encountered at least 20 people on cell phones while shopping, asking what to get, etc. All ages too, from teens to the elderly. Drives me nuts!!! ...

Can't Stand The View Anymore...is It Just Me?Jan 14, 2011
I don't know about you, but I think it's time for some changes on The View.  I think it's time for Joy and Barbara to go.  I like Barbara, but she has gotten a little to intrusive and interrupts too much, and goes on and on redundantly.  Joy...well, all she does is bash people.  It's funny how she calls herself a comedienne, but she's actually not.  Very few comedians left these days in my opinion....Ellen, Seinfeld, can't think of another&# ...

I am amazed how lies and innuendo can possibly steal an election.   1.  FBI director coming out and saying there might be a problem (but has not even seen the e-mails). 2.  The Birther's who wanted to disenfranchise our country's first black president.  3.  The Swiftboaters throwing manure on a Vietnam vet, Kerry.    (Makes me think of Trumps 'bone spur' that kept him out of the draft and Trump saying he doesn't like vets who get cau ...

American Idol Is So Lame AnymoreApr 20, 2011
This show and judges are such a bore now.  The judges say the same predictable stuff.  Its nothing without Simon.  ...and they love James Durbin, but when he screams that high note, its horrible... horrible.  My friend who teaches music noticed this too.  Listening to him on a CD would be painful.  Why cant people just sing well and that be good enough?  Its all about theatrics, screaming, being different, etc.  I used to love watching Idol.  I am don ...

Democrats’ Talking Points: We Can’t Pass Legislation Anymore, Despite MajorityJan 21, 2010
By Raw StoryWednesday, January 20th, 2010 -- 3:24 pm Democrats have conceded they can no longer pass healthcare on their own, ensuring that their key legislative reform either dies or accepts further compromises to gain approval from Republican members. What's more, they've decided to outline their case to the public through a set of talking points issued to Democrats after Tuesday's election upset in Massachusetts. Their meme? "It is mathematically impossible for Democrats to ...
