Why don't they rename American Idol to "Idol for a Day"....

Anyone remember the old tv show "Queen for a Day." For those who don't, it was a daily tv show from the 50's where several ladies got up and told their sob story and then they used an applause meter to pick the winner. The winner received a crown and robe and all sorts of gifts. That was fine for Queen for a Day, but, hey, this show is supposed to be about talent. Is there so much extra talent out there that they have to make the deciding factor the best hard-luck story? Give me a break! I can still hear the host of the show.."Would YOU like to be QUEEN for a day?"

I am the last to critizie someone as I have two special needs kids at home, but really they think he is hot, just flat out not. I saw him perform when he was with Aerosmith. The fact that we were able to get floor seats at the door the night of the concert should have told me that they would be no good. The opening act Kix rocked and were much better. The audience yelled for Kix to come back to the stage and get rid of Aerosmith. Aerosmith is good if they are in a studio and can have them cleaned up. No respect for that show at all!
