Many of the school systems are either going out to the homes or having pick up spots for ALL families to get breakfast, lunch and since this is spring break week enough food to feed an entire family of 4 for the week - - doesn't matter the income level or if they get food stamp assistance. MANY of these families get food stamp assistance and I can't even being to tell you how many usually moms have come into our school office demanding food for their kids to take home before this crisis who were getting free breakfast/lunch and they have food stamps - ALL while carrying an iPhone X or XI, talking about their new weave and well you get the idea. This crap burns the neck out of me. Many trade food stamps for other things. In our state food stamps allotment is ENOUGH to FEED the family IF YOU COOK!!! No you can't have steak, shrimp, salmon and ribs every night off of them. Neither can I on my meager income working as a school secretary and a MT. I absolutely am in favor of helping those whose income levels are just a little above the level to get food stamp assistance and to those who have lost jobs but the "gimme because I breathe" stuff drives me nuts. As for the homeless there have always been resources for them to get food and help to end their plight.
