I think this has been the longest surviving thread for this forum! It certainly has left a lasting impression. I've read many of the posts here, stating various reasons for why this person shouldn't be trusted. I have also been to her GoFundMe page, where I believe the evidence speaks for itself. I have heard her describe how losing her MT job after many, many years basically caused a domino effect in her life. A lot of MTs, both former and still presently working, in this industry have been hurt by the downturn and fallout from it all. I, myself, am no longer employed as an MT after an almost 20-year career because of the intolerable work conditions and constant demands for production over quality. This is not the same career I once knew, when the focus was on accuracy and providing top quality documents for the patients' medical records. Quality evidently means nothing anymore, and it has left me with a very negative point of view on how MTSOs operate and the one thing they focus on the most - PROFIT. It is all very political now and people everywhere to some degree or another are being hurt by this insanity.
I think you had the best of intentions to help Wendy by offering suggestions to her. It really is hard at both ends of this situation. You see the possible fixes that may be within reach for her, but she sees the constant roadblocks and difficulties preventing her from getting to them every day. All any of us can do, if we're unable to send funds, is hope and pray for a good outcome for Wendy, Henry and Lucy. I do recall her saying if anyone was unable to send funds that prayer would be just as much appreciated, and that is what I will most certainly continue to do for her.
