No one has posted to this thread for a while; I’ve also been following her Go Fund Me Page and I apologize for sounding judgmental, but the total amount being asked for keeps going up. There have been a couple of car accidents and now an attorney is being used to recover charges related to a minor fender bender, and she’s had money to go to Urgent Care and see a chiropractor. There have been stays at the Ramada Inn, a gym membership and things that the rest of us couldn’t afford, she brought her dogs into the hotel against the rules and let them sleep in her bed, I bet the housekeeping staff loved that. Since I’ve been following this, it goes from one catastrophe to the next, that is probably how life on the streets is. I still think that social services must be available for help, in my community they’re involved in helping people find housing and offer job training and placement. From what I have read, this woman is homeless by choice but living out of a van obviously didn’t go according to plan. A lot of people, including myself, don’t have family still living, but don’t land on the streets, a person does what a person has to do. I’m sorry for her difficulties, but I think she could make better choices.
