I have only contributed a couple of other times via the GoFundMe site because it is so hard to ascertain the validity of the stories. I know that this woman's situation is neither outside the realm of possibility, nor is it far-fetched.

Both my husband and I have had tremendous difficulty earning money in the past several years for a variety of reasons. Throughout that time, we have kept our home and have always had food. Utilities have been interrupted a few times, but we were always able to restore service. I always marveled at the grace of God through this all and how we often were blessed unexpectedly from sources we never imagined. Now that things are a little more stable, I realize He has ALWAYS been the provider--through the "good" times of gainful employment and good health and also through the hard times of illness and setbacks. A job is a blessing. The ability to work is a blessing. The means to get to a job is a blessing. The list goes on and on. I say this because we all need to be reminded from time to time that everything is a blessing from God.

I don't know Wendy or all the facts, but I'm choosing to donate because I could be in that situation. Any one of us could be.
