Based on your words alone, you do not know the - totality of this woman's situation

nor do you know all avenues she has exhausted. So what are you doing? Trying to get people NOT to donate to her GoFundMe because her journey did not mirror yours? Because, according to you, she is not worthy of it?

Since I don't know you, either, I am giving you the benefit of the doubt and will consider, among other possibilities, that you may be young and, therefore, too inexperienced and naive to appreciate the fickleness of life. You may not yet realize that each problem does not have one universal solution.

Assistance was not used on your end because you made an attempt to get it. You had assistance because that help was there for you and the decision was made by someone else that you fit all the criteria to be eligible for that help and you were able to receive that help in a timely enough fashion to keep you from a more dire situation. Please consider how vulnerable each and every human being (including you) is, and you will begin to understand that successfully navigating through life's problems does not consist of choosing the one and only neat and tidy solution to that problem.

If you have never gone through a horrific ordeal the escape from which seemed too difficult or unlikely, consider yourself spared. No one is smart enough or resourceful enough or willing enough or strong enough to ensure they never face a situation from which they cannot extricate themselves (even with assistance from social service programs). Remember what is said about pride.

Of course we are not know-it-alls because we have not put ourselves in a judgment seat to determine whether or not another person is worthy of help. If we had done that, there MIGHT be some validity to your claim that we are know-it-alls. No, we didn't do that, but who did?
