And actions DEFINITELY speak louder than words! I've had an alcoholic in my life, and I can tell you that you can't "love" him to recovery. He needs professional help,and until he gets it he is not going to change! And before he can get help HE is going to have to realize that he has a problem and take responsibility for getting treatment! In the meantime you should extricate yourself from the relationship, because alcoholics let alcohol rule their lives, and they often do things that they wouldn't do if they were in their right minds.
