I was disappointed in last night's debate.

Posted: Oct 14, 2015

I would have liked to have heard more from O'Malley and Webb. Instead, it was the Bernie and Hillary sideshow. All I heard was more of the same regarding socialism, free stuff, etc. Also, when Bernie stood up for Hillary regarding her emails, her cackle made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. That woman's vibe is seriously flawed. It looks like I may be voting for a Republican this time unless there is a better alternative.

Social Security and Medicare "entitlements", public education, nutrition for kids, health care. But we will all have gilded pencils.

Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, entitlements, are all going - broke. Just wait until pensions come due

for municipalities, even more debt. We are Greece. Any time any politician tries to tackle those issues, he/she is made to look "uncaring, unsympathetic, mean spirited"

Fill in the blank.

What you saw was what the Democratic Party has become, - it's not the party of JFK, it's made up

factions of anti-American groups all coming together to "fundamentally change" America. Grievance politics, victims...a whole generation that doesn't know about the Constitution or where our rights come from. They think it's govt. If a govt can give rights, then they can take it away.

I think we will have to wait another whole generation to turn things around, if we still have a country after all the illegal aliens come. We are headed for the same fate as Europe, especially Germany.

I'm not trying to sound cocky. I know we haven't hit rock bottom yet.

Only a couple of Democrats real ones - anonie

Truman and JFK were the only real democrats and now with Hildabeast we have demoncrats.

I still think there is a reason to believe the JFK was deliberately killed. I watched Ruby shoot Oswald live and could not believe I was actually seeing this on TV and live.

I remember JFK and how the country loved him. Shame no one has fit the bill after him.

He would be considered a conservative by today's - standards. We've really been

our liberal hero's, JFK, then RFK. Our heart were broken and our country, our middle class, our education and healthcare systems, have been in decline ever since, until now. Truth be told, Bernie Sanders is picking up where JFK, MLK, and RFK left off so many years ago. I am a liberal today because of these men. I think it is hilarious when republicans try to say they were conservatives.

Last Night Republican DebateJan 27, 2012
Newt pretty much got the beat-down. Romney prepared and did not allow Newt to pull one of his stunts.  Romney said he would fire an exec who came to him and suggested they build a moon colony.  Newt needs to realize you reap what you sow.  Certain posters on this board should take note too.   ...

My Opinion On Last Night's Debate Is That It Was A Draw ButOct 17, 2012
a lot of antics went on that were against the rules.   1.  When I could see the timer, I noted that Obama ran over his time a lot, yet nothing was said at first. Candy let him ramble on and on. It was only when they got short of time, she started to stop him from going any further; yet, he insisted in talking over her.  She did stop Romney when he ran over his time more than once and he did stop. 2. Obama did not follow the subject questions with direct answers. He answers were ...

So DisappointedNov 07, 2012
To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I am so worried about the future of this country. Today with sadness I took my flag down. I do not want anyone to mistakenly think that my flying the flag implies that I am happy about the outcome of this election and I cannot bring myself to feel at all patriotic. I have been thinking about what individuals like myself can do to express our disappointment, for lack of a better word and trying to remain polite. I have decided that I can and will vot ...

Disappointed Daughter...Jun 18, 2012
I have been astranged from my dad for 8 months now.  I got another phone and new number, not just because of him but other reasons too, and never shared my # and neither did anyone else who knew it.  I moved and he did not know exactly where I lived, knew the general area, but didn't know where exactly.  My reasoning was a few years of him constantly borrowing money, never paying it back, constantly wanting to borrow this or that, mostly money though.  Had actually stol ...

Disappointed, But Feeling Silly About ItNov 16, 2012
Okay, this is going to sound REALLY stupid and childish and I hope after a long week you  get a laugh from this.  I can't tell my dear sweet hubbie because he meant good, but I have to tell someone.  He did the grocery shopping today.  He comes home and I see a container of mint ice cream (I gag thinking of it, but its his favorite), so I'm so excited he bought ice cream.  Been in the mood for a bowl of ice cream.  I keep emptying the bags putting food awa ...

After The DebateOct 17, 2012
The first person to ask a question was Kerry Ladka. "Was Ladka satisfied with how the president responded? Simply no. “I really didn’t think he totally answered the question satisfactorily as far as I was concerned,” Ladka tells the Erik Wemple Blog. After the debate . . . "President Obama, though, wasn’t done with Kerry Ladka. My Take On The Debate. SmOct 14, 2015
I was struck last night by the huge difference in what we can infer about the nature of Bernie's and Hillary's thought processes while they were processing the challenging questions that Anderson Cooper threw out at them individually. Hillary's demeanor reminded me of one of those canned Miss America Pageant contestant types whom you can tell is so focused on searching her memory bank for a previously stored 'good answer' that the importance of the issue itself was tota ...

Diaper Debate...Sep 17, 2011
Okay, so here it is. I have a very good friend who is expecting. She is low income and has MA, WIC, food stamps, etc. She is slowly buying clothes, furniture, etc. a little at a time before baby arrives around May.  She knows about Goodwill, rummage sales, resale shops, and all that too.  She has other friends as well (who have had children) telling her which diapers are the best. She wants to start buying diapers now so she has a few packs/boxes to start with when the baby arrives. Sh ...

I'm So Tired Of The Tax Debate!May 14, 2010
Tax the rich more....tax the poor less, etc.  It is my opinion that if you tax the rich more, it won't help that much considering there are so many loopholes in the tax code that I'm sure the rich will find a way to get out of paying more taxes.  Why don't we just do a flat tax.  That will eliminate the loopholes.  Simple and easy...probably why they won't do it though.  They need something confusing so the crooks in the world can get out of paying ta ...

How To Debate The DonaldAug 03, 2015
This article is amusing. I would hope there is a lot of practice going on for other Republicans on how not to let him get under their skin. They should refuse to answer him directly (which I don't think they are supposed to anyway) and calmly present their perspective, no matter how wild his responses and answers are. If possible, they should ignore him and pretend he has not spoken at all. I particularly liked this reference-- "Other than a dart gun?," he said. "A tranquilizer gun ...
