a lot of antics went on that were against the rules.
1. When I could see the timer, I noted that Obama ran over his time a lot, yet nothing was said at first. Candy let him ramble on and on. It was only when they got short of time, she started to stop him from going any further; yet, he insisted in talking over her. She did stop Romney when he ran over his time more than once and he did stop.
2. Obama did not follow the subject questions with direct answers. He answers were sometimes off the wall, not having anything at all to do with the question.
3. Neither of them were supposed to ask questions of the other, but they did. I thought they were going to have an out-and-out brawl during the one outburst.
4. Obama got really, really miffed when Romney asked Obama about HIS offshore holdings. I thought he was going to blow a gasket....and then had the nerve to ask Candy to intervene. Obama, himself, opened up that that area when he tried to blame Romney for his blind trust, so it was Obama sticking foot-in-mouth over that.
5. If Obama didn't like the answer to questions Romney was asked; i.e., comparing Romney' plan to Obama's 'no plan', Obama seemed to cry out to Candy to stop him. This happened more than once. Obama was very "uncool" quite a few times and I thought he was really going to blow his gasket, but he kept his cool.
6. All in all, Candy reminded me of Jim Lehrer. She did a little better at controlling both of them, but not by much.
7. TIME: Obama 43 minutes 57 seconds; Romney 40 minutes 58 seconds, so again, Obama got more time than Romney; in fact, Obama had more time than the first debate to state his position, but he still didn't defend any failed policies and still played the blame game.
