The Tea Party (disgusting and full of vitrole and hatred) are not the Republican Party hopefully

Posted: Apr 17, 2011

I hope with everything I have in me that the Tea Party does not represent the Republican Party.

This is what the Tea Party stands for. They are full of vitriole and hatred. This is not what the Republican party stands for. See comments by Republican Party of Orange County Chairman Scott Baugh, "It's just highly inappropriate, it's a despicable message, it drips with racism and I think she should step down from the committee," said Baugh.

"Davenport, a tea party activist, represents the 72nd Assembly District in Orange County on the central committee."

"At the very least, Baugh said, Davenport should be apologizing for what she's done rather than attacking whoever leaked the email to media, referring to an email Davenport sent after the story broke calling on "the coward" who leaked the email to come forward."

These people are definitely not anything like the Boston Tea Party people - and it is offensive that they use their name

I'm offended that they have taken on the name of patriots who gave their lives for liberty. These people are disgusting. Not all Republicans go along with their shenanigans. Don't hold it against all Republicans, please.

Most TEA party members are fine people. Stop it! - Frank

You want to villify an entire party for the actions of few? How immature of you. All parties have their thugs, and some of the libs are extremely hateful, so you should be ashamed to label an entire party as "disgusting". It says a lot about yourself. Most TEA party members are patriots.

I don't think so. I think they are radical extremists and haters - nm

Haters? Like YOU, - you mean?

Blanket statements do no one any good. I do not judge all liberals by Barney Frank and we have to pass it before we can read it Pelosi. You should do the same regarding tea party members.
No, because what they stand for is ugly - nm

Oh...every single tea partier, what they - stand for is ugly.

they are not an organized national party like Rpubs or Dems. There are separate chapers all over the country. Lumping them all together is stupid and underscores your prejudice.

Am I to assume that all liberals/Democrats are just like you, petty and mean spirited, condemning en masse? THAT, my friend, is UGLY.
What they stand for is American, what YOU stand for - is apparently just hatred..(pray for ya).nm

I know people who are tea partyers. They are in lockstep about what they believe.

This woman is one of the leaders, so that is significant.

I know people who are liberals who are - mean, condescending,

hateful and are not smart enough to recognize this country is in a financial crisis. Does that mean all of you are mean, condescending, hateful and not too smart?

I have met LOTS of people in the TEA party, and they - are for the most part, nice people.nm

Sorry, of course you are. You actually cannot be serious.

You claim to know what the tea party stands for, but you have no clue. The tea party is not full of vitriole and hatred and anyone who thinks that has just been brainwashed by the LSM.

The people who belong to the tea party, if you watch any news that's honest and fair, are decent and honest people. I've watched the events at tea parties and never once ever has there been any violence or hatred and all these lies that there is has never been proven. Never once has one shred of evidence ever been provided to support the idea of hatred and violence. In fact just the opposite. It's the liberals with the death threats and hatred with venom towards anyone who doesn't believe in the communist way. The absolute panic and hatred comes through loud and clear.

Davenport does not represent the tea party and for anyone to suggest that he speaks for the tea party shows that there truly are some people who are so full of hatred they grasp at straws and in the end whoever they are just shows their ignorance.

Offensive emails are being sent all the time, and guess what...Obama is not the only one who gets them. Nobody should be sending any offensive emails to anyone, but to think that it's only done by the tea party is just plain rubbish.

The violence and hatred comes from the other side. You should listen to people on an individual basis. There is good and bad in all sides.

What The New Republican Party Can't UnderstandOct 30, 2015
I was talking to a Republican this week who, to paraphrase him, said that the Republicans have offered the country what it wants, a woman presidental candidate and one of color.  NO!  That is not what we want. We want candidates who are intelligent and capable. What you've offered us is incompetence and labels. It isn't important to have a woman president unless she knows the issues, as Hillary Clinton does. It most certainly doesn't help to have a person of color unles ...

The Republican Party Left Me This WeekMar 05, 2011
