Isn't anyone outraged over the Ft. Hood shooter still receiving his salary?

Who was the idiot who decided this was a workplace incident instead of terrorism? He's collecting $7,000 a month until he is found guilty, yet our wounded and dead get NOTHING, not even a medal for bravery. It's disgusting.

I think he wants the death penalty so he can have his 72 virgins, but I don't think we should accomodate him. Let him rot in military prison.

The government has spent four years and $5 million to guarantee Hasan is given an airtight trial that concludes with a guilty verdict and the possibility of a death sentence.

He admits he is at war with our country. "In his opening statement Major Nidal Hasan referred to himself as a Mujahideen, and he was fighting to create a perfect religion on earth. He admitted to being the shooter but he said, in effect, that he is a soldier in a war," said Rob Reynolds of AlJazeera America.

It's an imperfect world. I'm just satisfied that he's "innocent - until proven guilty." THINK about it.

As for thinking, it's best made a habit. Our poor "wounded and dead" would be a lot better off if those who sent them off so callously had spent even an hour educating themselves to decide if it was necessary.

Thinking might have meant passing on a tax break, even ONE of the many they voted themselves, while our vets, well and ill, were being cheated and neglected.

Just SAYING that one cares does not mean one does. Actions are everything.

Just SAYING one believes in the American way doesn't mean one does. Innocent until proven guilty is a TERRIBLY IMPORTANT and basic principle. If you believe in it, you insist on it.

They were not sent anywhere. They were at the mess hall, unless you think they were sent there by others.

The Major admitted to the shooting, so he definitely is NOT innocent until proven guilty. He wanted to plead guilty to avoid the death penalty but wasn't allowed to do that. Now he's admitting to the shooting because he wants the death penalty but I think he should get LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE (even though we'll be paying for his stay) because he then won't have the pleasure of being a martyr.

He is doing a good job of painting himself as a terrorist. Maybe he will have to pay it back. You can't just charge someone with terrorism because of their surname.

one hand there has to be serenity in selective memory--immediately forgetting everything that doesn't support a preferred view, and the same for turning off your conscience and burden of personal responsibility to follow a chosen leader.
