I am so pleased to see some politicians are choosing to relinquish portions of their salaries. Carter and Hagel have also done the same. Very well done, gentlemen!
“The president has decided that to share in the sacrifice being made by public servants across the federal government that are affected by the sequester, he will contribute a portion of his salary back to the Treasury,” the official said.

Most of the conservatives aren't grumbling about vacays--they're furious that the Obama's are taking SEPARATE vacays with taxpayers footing the bill for DOUBLE Secret Service and planes.
How many vacays in 3 months did they take this year????? Some commentators said it was 8 but that includes the kids 2 spring breaks. Even so, 6 vacays in 3 months is not exactly "roughing" it.
It's absolutely outrageous. Now to "contribute" only $20,000 out of his $400,000 salary is not very generous - although, if I have to say, more generous than tightwad Biden would ever contribute.
