Congress Shooting Live Updates: Man Asked About Republicans Or Democrats During Alexandria Baseball Practice

Update: 10:51 a.m. EDT—Multiple reports have surfaced Wednesday identifying the man suspected of opening fire at a Republican Congressional baseball practice Wednesday, injuring at least four people. The suspected gunman was identified as James Hodgkinson of Illinois, according to reports from both The Washington Post and NBC News.

Among the injured Wednesday were two Capitol Police officers and Representative Steve Scalise, the House Majority Whip. Neither the officers nor Scalise reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries.

If I remember correctly, the EpiPen deal happened while Obamacare was in full force (as it still is) and somebody (the manufacturer/owner/CEO) decided greedy was better than compassion, but it was really kind of them to offer coupons for $300 off one, which still left the price at $300.

The House bill went to the Senate. The Senate decided to do their own version but the House bill hasn't been "trashed." It is still the one that was passed. The Senate first said it was going to build on the House bill, either by adding or eliminating and then adding their own amendments. Now they want a completely clean bill but they haven't even brought one up yet because they haven't worked on it. The end of the fiscal year is coming up as are more important items that need to be done by the end of the fiscal year.

Obamacare will still be in effect until the Senate does their version of the bill and either passes or defeats it If the Senate version passes, it has to be sent to the House for a vote after discuss and debate. Then if it passes, it goes BACK to the Senate for finishing touches then on to the president.

The Senate already said they will not be rushing their version through. They want to make sure it is fair to everyone.

So what you're thinking and saying is nothing but lies that came from the media.

or else you would know that's a PRELIMINARY bill that passed. It's being worked on in the Senate now. Wishful thinking that it would be done by July or even by the end of the year, but maybe it might be done because the one in Congress now won't be 2900 pages of taxes and waivers and penalties. It took Obama over a year to get his healthcare bill passed and even then, without any Republican support because they weren't invited to the meetings or allowed any suggestions. Heck, Dirty Harry blocked almost all the amendments from coming up for a vote.

a lot of people don't know or understand how Congress works. It's also the truth that the bill is preliminary and it's a long drawn out affair and it did take at least a year for Obamacare to pass.
