So, when a Romney fundraiser costs $40,000 per person it's an outrage but when Obama has a $40,000 per person fundraiser it's okay. It sure feels good to get that clarified.

Since he's standing up for "all Americans" I wonder if he could pass me one of those $300 bottles of Armand de Brignac Brut Gold?

No one is critizing the entry fee (Romney's, for the record, was $50,000). It's the message we have a problem with.

And no it's not the message. Post after post going after Romney when he has a 20 or 30 or 40K dinner talking "solely" about the amount people paid for his fundraising dinners. Let me repeat...not about anything he said, only about the cost of the dinner plate. Then Obama throws a fund raiser and people pay the same amount (give or take 1000 maybe) and nobody says a word. And I mean NOBODY! In fact people defend it. It's okay for Obama to through 40K dinners but not Romney.

In the Chicago Area some bakeries made an atomic cake. It had various fillers of your choice including fudge, banana, strawberry, vanilla custard, etc. My family always had one of these cakes if there was a birthday. I am from Chicago and we used to be able to get atomic cakes. They were filled with different kinds of fillings of your choice; i.e., fudge, banana, strawberry, custard, etc. However, I now live in Florida (St. Petersburg area) and can't find any bakeries that makes these. Tried a new whiskey fruitcake recipe, made a slight error by adding 2 cups of dried fruit instead of 1, so the cake came out really dry. Found a suggestion to poke holes in it with a skewer and pour whiskey over the cake so it would go into the cake; do this every day for a week. The texture is now good, but the taste--whoooo, baby! When I was a child, mom had this iron-thing that you would dip into a sweet pancake type batter and put it in hot grease. I just made the most scrumptious blueberry sour cream coffee cake. It was so moist and sweet, but not too sweet. DH told me it tasted like something we used to get in Germany.
