Yea! Things are slowly but surely looking up...sm

for our economy and jobs!  If things continue at the present rate all jobs lost during the recession will be regained by the end of the year.  I am so happy that Obama is also concentrating on training and jobs for our vets.

This "good news" is nothing more than skewed stats and omission of salient points that make the picture look better.

During EVERY election cycle, at the beginning of the re-election year the incumbent's administration releases the "good news." One would think that Americans would have detected the pattern by now. Thankfully, most have. Critical thinking is not a trait possessed by most MTs, however.

BLS has published the same statistics forever. - sm

Wall Street reacts, companies follow this. I guess you are the only one wearing blinders so thick you can't see the truth. Our newspaper has 3 pages of help wanted ads where it used to have a half a page. You can go on hating the fact that Obama has turned around this economy without any help from the T-pubs, but the facts remains. Maybe you will get lucky and something terrible will happen to match your world view.

Old saying - old and burned out

It's like the old saying - A recession is when you're out of work; a depression is when I'm out of work. For those who still do not have a job or are losing their home, or you have an extreme dislike of Obama and his administration, you are not going to believe the statistics. However, if you own any stocks you remember that the Dow was around 8000 when Bush left office and is now approaching 13,000 again. There is no way the administration can skew those numbers.

Yes, things are slowly getting better, which is better that the southward trend before Obama took office. But agree to many people "better" is never good enough!

Slowly But Surely The Trump Claim That His Campaign Was SurveilledApr 03, 2017
is being proved to be 100% accurate. It turns out that the media and the Democrats have been lying about it. Trump needs to keep up the pressure. Those who illegally surveilled the Trump campaign, illegally leaked to the media and then lied about it need to be investigated, arrested and prosecuted. Susan Rice, who was former President Barack Obama’s national security adviser, did not respond to a report from Bloomberg columnist Eli Lake that on multiple occasions, she made requests ...

If We Lie, Lie And Lie And Collapse The Economy Slowly, My Followers Won't Realize It Till Its Nov 11, 2013
By the time the middle class realizes he’s the killer and they’re the prey, they’ll already be dead. Share: It was called “Cloward-Piven,” after former Columbia professors Richard Cloward and Frances Piven. To bring down America and our capitalist system, they were taught to overwhelm the system with massive spending, entitlements and debt. That would cause the economy to collapse, wipe out the middle class, and bring Americans to their knees, begging government to save them. It ...

Otherwise, you will be facing some pretty slim pickin's.  Its a tough market out there for shills who think they can combine personal political agendas with their self-inflated, misconceived professional "powers," then get away with it without consequences to pay.  A word of caution:  Steer clear of advertising.  That rebranding hack job you did on a highly successful, internationally recognized and revered women's health organization by transforming ...

One Of These Things Is Not Like The OtherOct 04, 2016
The dedicated Trumpettes are rationalizing Trump's tax evasion by saying Clinton used the same loophole to avoid paying tax. In fact, I have used the same loophole when I was an independent contractor. Now here is why it is not the same. Trumps tax loss claimed is over 1 THOUSAND 3 HUNDRED TIMES (1300 times) Clinton's tax loss. In other words, Clinton claimed 0.07% of Trumps loss. Trump paid NO taxes and probably did not for 18 years. In contrast the Clinton's pai ...

Do You Think Things Are Worse...Aug 04, 2012
....since the Supreme Court gave corporations the same voice as individuals in supporting political candidates?  I sense that that's made things worse during this campaign.   I think these PACs and Super PACs are creating so much havoc, on both sides, and they're making politics even more confusing and muddled.  It's awful when a PAC comes out with advertising that favors one candidate or the other, and people assume that the campaign itself put out the ad, bu ...

How The Dems Do ThingsSep 06, 2012
1.  The entire DNC is being subsidized with a $10 million line of credit from Duke Energy. 2.  The CEO of Duke Energy is one of Obama's biggest contributors - $tens of thousands. 3.  Duke Energy has received over $200 million in stimulus money for "green jobs". So, while Elizabeth Warren was standing up on the podium whining about a "rigged economy", she was speaking over a microphone that was paid for with "rigging" of the first order. Good job, Dems!  You're R ...

Seeing Things On TV That I Am Thinking What?Jan 08, 2013
I saw 3 different things this morning that I am puzzled. First, people having baby ultrasounds in their homes inviting all the family for an ultrasound party to let them be the first (along with the couple) to view the baby. People doing the ultrasounds do tell the gender of the baby and that again is not 100% sure each time, even for people who routinely do ultrasound in medical settings. The people doing not medical, say no diagnosis of any kind made but as we all know not every pregnancy is a ...

Just To Lighten Things UpNov 30, 2016
In Chappaqua NY, the snow lay deep around the Clinton mansion, but that didn't stop Bill from taking a stroll around the grounds. Suddenly, he stopped dead in his tracks.  The Secret Service agent who was with him asked, "What is it, Mr. President?" Clinton's face was growing beet-red as he pointed a shaking finger at the ground.  There, written in the snow in an unmistakable shade of yellow, were the words "Bill Clinton is a dirty pedophile." Clinton demanded that the per ...

This Reminds Me Of A Lot Of Things On HereJan 17, 2016
As it happens, in recent weeks I was the target of a trolling campaign and saw exactly how it works. It started when an obscure website published a post titled “CNN host Fareed Zakaria calls for jihad rape of white women.” The story claimed that in my “private blog” I had urged the use of American women as “sex slaves” to depopulate the white race. The post further claimed that on my Twitter account, I had written the following line: “Every death of a white person brings tears of j ...

So Bored With Cooking The Same Things Over And OverDec 18, 2010

Could Things Have Gone More Wrong? - A Little LongMay 07, 2010
Some of you may remember my posting last fall about my daughter who went away to college only to break her arm and wind up with three roommates who did nothing but party.  All she wanted was to go to college and study anthropology.   Her quad-mates all turned out to be drunks, as well as the guys in the room across the hall.  Within three weeks of starting school she had broken her arm.  She was quite literally totally alone, but tried to stick it out rather than change ...
