Meaning a job loss under Scott Walker and the Republican-controlled State legislature.

Waiting for the recall election - mbmt

[ In Reply To ..]
Yes, there were job losses and huge cuts to public education and health care for the needy, along with elimination of most collective bargaining rights for public employees. If you listen to Walker talk, you would think just the opposite happened. He wants Wisconsinites to believe that he saved jobs and is working for the people of the state, while he has spent much of the time out of state raising money for his recall election.

whatever... my taxes didnt go up, so a few people had to - actually pay for some health care...

Big Whoop! When the teachers are paying a $10,000 deductible and paying $100 a week for the premium like I have to, then they can complain about what Walker did to them. They paid squat for years. Bout time we even out the field.
Big whoop to you - mbmt

Pretty sad when you lay the blame for Wisconsin's problems on teachers.
Big whoopp - pretty snarky comment

They are not part of the problem, but you might want to do a little research on that if you do not believe me.

to his cronies while is state loses jobs. How long before the criminal investigation gets to him?

The more we learn about the way Scott Walker came to power, the more corrupt it appears.

To date, six known Walker associates have been charged with a total of 15 felonies and 3 misdemeanors.

Much of this activity occured in an office 25 feet from his. Go figure.

and be jealous of union folks who won't follow your lead and instead choose to fight for more affordable and fair benefits on their own behalf and that of their families. With that mind set, it's no wonder you get such perverse pleasure out of seeing low income people denied access to health care, cuts to earned income credit tax breaks and Medicaid funding, caps on homestead exemptions, limits on enrollment in the Family Care program that services frail and disabled elders, and close to $2 billion in education cuts to public schools, the state college system and financial aid programs for college and technical school students....while tax breaks are handed out to multistate corporations and investors. All's right in your world so long as YOUR taxes didn't go up, huh?

Your narrow partisan scope has blinded you to the concept that, instead of insisting that everyone else get dragged down to your level of hostile "acceptance" so they can share in your misery, the idea is to aspire to a more equitable approach that benefits ALL Wisconsinites....yourself included....not a select privileged group of campaign donors who support a candidate's exaggerated sense of entitlement to the fiefdom.
What crock this is - How about paying for your own
[ In Reply To ..]
Oh wait, the Democrat way is to take if from those THEY think is okay and pay for teachers with double the income. Force those with lower incomes, say maybe working at Walmart, to support teachers with far higher incomes, loaded with benefits, working 9 months out of the year, because of thug unions. Never saw a Dem yet that was for the "little" people. Nothing but a bunch of hypocrites reaching for your wallett.

Too bad union officials take advantage of the "union drones". Too bad "union drones" haven't figure out their being played and totally expendable to Marx and his followers when they are no longer useful to the movement. But since you are devoid of any facts or history, you wouldn't know that or just don't care about the "union drones".

class warfare. If the poster is not fomenting resentment among the lower and middle classes I'll eat my Obama 2012 campaign button. All while the Richie Richs chortle and smirk at the success of their agitprop. Money is like energy. it does not disappear. There is none available to repair our bridges because it has been acquired and socked away by the wealthy. Citizens of the greatest nation should all have excellent benefits. The solution is the opposite of taking things away from the middle class to make them like the lower class living check to check.

Where was their "fair share" that Dems scream about - for all those years
[ In Reply To ..]
Another glaring example of Dem ypocrisy. Hope Walker remains. About time teachers AND EVERYONE else starts paying for their own benes. Pay so much in taxes for theirs, I can't afford any for myself....yeah real fair in the Dems eyes.
Exactly! - they should pay for their own.

I didn't get what I want for Christmas.

Do you even know where those numbers are coming from?

March statistics from the CPS (Current Population Survey) paint a different picture:

March 2011: 2,838,145
March 2012: 2,856,643

That is a +18,498 job GAIN!

The numbers you have referenced appear to come from the CES survey - which only counts jobs that come from payroll records. That means that people who are sole proprietors, self-employed or domestic workers AREN'T COUNTED!

Secondly, in the CPS model all payroll jobs are counted equally - including part-time jobs. So 1 full-time job equals 1 job. 2 half-time jobs equals 2 jobs.

So, let's assume Joe is working 2 part-time jobs in March 2011. In March 2012, he gets offered a full-time job. The total job count attributed to Joe is now 1 job - as opposed to the 2 jobs that he accounted for in 2 part-time positions. That would be reported as a net loss of 1 job - even though Joe is still employed a total of 40 hours.

If you're going to use statistics to push your agenda, make sure you understand what you're presenting before you throw it out there.

FYI: In my prior career incarnation I worked in market research, strategic planning and business development; so, I'm no armchair statistician.
