Why have the Pubs not ousted Vitter?

If you oust Vitter you need to oust all the other crooked politicians. Having an affair or being with a prostitute is not as bad as some of the other crap going on. I still don't understand why Pelosi, when she had the power and chance, did not bring impeachment charges against Bush.

My thoughts are that most likely all the politicians are doing something wrong....yes, even the democrats.

against Bush for what? Explain please. Dont say - illegal war.. it was at least voted on.nm

Why wasn't Barney Frank ousted - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
when his lover was conducting a prostitution ring in Barney's own apartment? Granted ole Barney may not have actually participated in the whole thing but you can't tell me that he didn't know his boy toy was doing that in HIS apartment. Come on!

The bottom line is that no one is perfect. I don't think any republican who stands for moral values doesn't screw up one way or another. We all have faults and we all fall to temptation. Why is it so much worse for the right to do so instead of the left? When ya'll can show me a perfect democrat, then you can cast stones at an imperfect republican...until then just get over it! You wouldn't be all upset if this was a democrat.

He did not know and when he found out he kicked him out. - Ethics Committee

[ In Reply To ..]
investigation found this to be true and cleared him on those charges. He was repremanded for using the office to "fix parking tickets" for Gobie. He was not asked to resigned because the sexual misconduct charges were dismissed.

For the hypocritical and self-righteous Larry Craig, who was on the Ethics Committee at the time, that was not enough. He called for censure and expulsion of Frank, but failed in this effort. All the while, Craig was under suspicion for cocaine use and sex with male congressional pages, which he of course denied. Some 25 years later, we have the bathroom sex solicitation and wide-stance defense. He served out his term but did not run again and thus managed to avoid an Ethics Committee investigation. Lord knows what that would have turned up.

Now, how is it that the "we all screw up, have faults and fall to temptation" defense works for the GOP family values poster boy and criminal offender Diaper David and not for Anthony Weiner? You never quite answered the question. Why have the GOP not demanded Vitter's resignation? It's OK if you are a republican? Do you think they should?

To everyone replaying to this post and going back and forth, I have a question for all of you, and I think we'll all agree on this particular question/point - ever notice it's always MEN getting into trouble?

no, no, no, no - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
NO, we all don't agree. I know where you heard that because I watched her too and I totally disagree with her.

"People" get caught. Rather stupid people get caught. I've heard many many many stories about female politicians and their lifestyle. One very famous politician who is no better than the men who do this. She just has never gotten caught.

This is not a gender thing.

no, no, no, no - Beethoven

If you say so. Is this a man responding to this? lolol

I'm insulted by the put down of men. Women do it too. Plenty of them. The only thing I think is that some people are so arrogant they don't think it matters. Evidently these people think they are so sexy (which to me they are just....ewww). I've read of plenty of woman doing the same thing (or similar). They just don't have their pics taken and plastered all over the internet.

The lady on TV that talked about it was just I don't know who to say it. She was like...yeah, elect women because they don't do this. I'm thinking ....um yes they do.

That would be like saying ministers, priest, etc don't do things like this.
No, I'm a woman . . . and - Beethoven

Defending men huh? Hmmmmmm . . .

This is exactly why they continue to do the things they do.

I'm certainly not defending the men, but it's also a numbers thing. There are more men than women in the House and Senate.

In the House, there are currently 360 men and 75 women. In the Senate, there are 17 women and 83 men.

"Spend too much, tax too much and borrow too much." Clearly, Republicans believe that we can reduce our deficits by cutting spending even while cutting taxes. So what would they cut? . . . . 2009 Republican budget put together by Rep. Paul D. Ryan, who passes as the party's idea man. That budget would freeze domestic discretionary spending till 2014, but Obama's budget does that. It would increase spending on the military over the Obama budget, and pledge all the money needed to ...

Crats Vs PubsMay 14, 2010
The Republicans are run by a bunch of rich folks, that are proud of being rich. They don’t want the gov’t doing anything that might cost them money. The Democrats are run by a bunch of rich folks, that feel guilty about being rich. They don’t feel guilty enough to give away their money, so they want to tax the heck out of the "middle class" to pay for social programs to ease their guilt. Both party’s seem to pretty much define the "middle class" as those that don’ ...

The Republican ticket may hail from Massachusetts and Wisconsin, butMitt Romney and Paul Ryan head the most Southernized major U.S. political party since Jefferson Davis’s day. The fallout is beginning on that disaster of a plan that the pubs put out.
