I do not think someone's class is necessarily reflected by their supporters. Remember McCain's supporters who paraded around with all kinds of signs and costumes expressing racist filth during the 2009 election? Most of the time I thought McCain was a pretty standup guy even with the T-Party following him around.

Second, I hope the Texans will hold up the male candidates under the same scrutiny as Wendy. Apparently there is some sort of trumped up "scandal" about her lying about whether she was divorced and a single mother at 19 or 21. The truth seems to be she was separated from hubby at 19 and divorce was not final until 21. I wish Romney had been as forthcoming about his income taxes. Geez.

There seems to be some big controversy about custody of her children. From what I understand, her oldest child was in her 20s and the younger was in high school at the time of the 2nd divorce. What kid in high school wants to move and leave their school and friends? I know I didn't at that age. From what I gather, there was no big deal--both daughters are now openly supporting her on the campaign trail. Even her ex-husband supports her.

But you go ahead and gleefully bash another woman. Sometimes I am sickened by how women treat other women. Bad enough with what the men do.

I give people more credit, both sides.

I can turn around what you just said and say people didn't vote for Obama because he is mixed or won't vote for Hillary because she's a woman. And it may be true for a fraction of voters, but I believe the reason people vote for a certain candidate is basically how that candidate appeals to the voter... how their lives would be affected by their choice, not something as superficial as gender or race.

On a different level, we may admire or celebrate our gender or race as being a first in history, considering both were oppressed and denied basic rights earlier in history, but I don't think we should confuse recognition or pride with reasons why we vote how we do.

That's how Obama got elected - because of the promises he made that the haves should give to the have-nots and unfortunately, the haves want to hang on to their money - goes back to the principle of the classroom of averaging grades so everyone gets a C - the F's would like a C, but that doesn't mean the A's should give it to them.....
