Well, that meeting went well this morning.

Obama didn't get his way since the important sequester meeting was only about 1 HOUR LONG. Yes, he really is looking out for the people -- NOT-- or else they'd still be meeting and negotiating.

Sequester stands. He's not "wasting any more time" (my words, not his) since the sequester was "just dumb and arbitrary" (his words, not mine). So, Mr. President, if it's so dumb, why did you suggest it in the first place?????

Guess he ran off for a game of golf to relax from the stress of having to put up with the congressional leaders.

BTW, if we would tie Nancy's hands down, would she be able to talk or would she stop talking? :-D

Republicans will only agree to budget cuts, no revenue increases.

Obama won the election. Reps apparently are having a hard time with that reality. And the fact that they were not successful in their only goal last term... to make him a one-term president. It's time for them go to go work now... real work for a change, not some personal agenda.

The compromise needs to come from the Republicans. Obama is President, not the Republicans.

Obama and the Democrats never followed through with the cuts they were supposed to make the last time...that's why the sequester isn't "the sky is falling" deal.

Obama keeps reminding us that he's the President so you don't have to remind us. In fact, I think he did it 3 times today in the speech he gave after the meeting.

BTW, the Republicans wanted to close some tax loopholes back in 2011 prior to Obama. This was part of Ryan's plan.

Someone on another site said it best: "As long as Obama keeps fighting the Republicans and blaming them for ALL the problems we face, they will fight back. If Obama wants compromise, he has to stop pointing fingers and start working with Congress, especially the Republicans."

We know he has the Senate and the Democrats in his pocket. That's why the Republicans haven't had anything brought up for a vote in the Senate, let alone pass into law.

I think the Democrats are having a hard time with reality. After all, they want MORE REVENUE SO THEY CAN SPEND MORE (you know more stimulus and shovel-ready jobs that didn't work the last time). Doesn't help a bit and puts us deeper in debt. Wake up.

He is willing to make cuts, but wants more revenue. Sounds like a fast track to solving this problem. More in, less out.

Yes, why should the military get the guts kicked out of it as you said...maybe you should ask Obama. He was the one to ask for the sequester rule AND even today, the Democrats want MORE CUTS to the military...so don't blame that on the Republicans.
