very quietly addresses a comment to someone he knows. Then some take-charge, self-annointed macho pack alpha starts yelling at him trying to kick him out of the room, escalating and orchestrating a full-blown whup-up whereby several people start to gang up on him, approach him making aggressive physical gestures, and Grayson has the utter gall to defend himself. Then, they start whining and writing articles expressing their nauseating self-righteous indignation. Uh-huh. Sounds like standard operating procedure. And you wonder why folks think the tpots are a bunch of thugs. Not an ounce of civility in sight.

PS: Next time they hold a meeting, if they want to enforce strict privacy, they might outta consider a private residence or actually paying for a closed party. After all, they don't own the place.

"Very quietly"??? Guess you didn't watch the video - The guy is so panicked

[ In Reply To ..]
about losing his job that he has to enter a restaurant where he was not invited and start shouting incoherent babble.

The video said it all. You should have watched it.

At the beginning of the video, Grayson was quietly - reading from a sheet of paper...

[ In Reply To ..]
It was not until the tpot alpha male stepped in that the shout down began. It is right in front of your face, but I guess you still can't see it and choose to believe the rag of an article instead of your own two eyes.

Grayson does not need to be invited into a PUBLIC restaurant in his own district. Notice how the video (both at the beginning and at the end) shows that the room where the tpots were meeting was not behind closed doors, but rather was entered through wide, open archways. that is why I suggested that, if they want privacy, they probably should either meet in a private residence of actually pay for a closed party like most grownups do.

At the beginning of the video, Grayson appeared to be addressing someone he knew, when the alpha male barged in and tried to kick him out. That would be why Grayson asked him not to interrupt him. His dialog was not incoherent, but rather inaudible (poor sound quality until the shouting began).

Next time you feel like rewriting a news story to suit your political agenda, might want to do it in the absence of a video. And by the way, Grayson does not strike me as panicked about losing his job. As a matter of fact, he comes across as being extremely confident. That is simply just another one of your rants and IMO, whoever wrote the article is delusional to suggest that he will be replaced by a tpot. In fact, that notion is really quite comical, come to think of it.
He OBVIOUSLY interrupted a meeting...... - sorry
[ In Reply To ..]
no other way to see that vid....he inserted himself into a meeting where he DID not belong. Thumbs down on the jerk.
At one second, he OBVIOUSLY was asking a question - in a civil tone of voice, which made alpha male LO
[ In Reply To ..]
Chances are, he struck a nerve in the chest beating ape, who was unable to answer or refute the point Grayson was tryng to make. The fray commenced on the heels of alpha's INAPPROPRIATE response (especialy in a public setting).

Grayson also did not appear to be addressing Mr. Alpha directly, but somebody else or the group as a whole. Whatever the case, he was already in the room. You have no way of knowing how he got there, how long he had been there, whether or not someone motioned him over, if he walked in on his own or WHATEVER.

Point is that, much like the behavior on this forum, he was trying to have a normal conversation is a normal tone of voice, when alpha male took offense and went ballistic and all the kings men followed suit. This is a microcosmic sond byte of mob mentality. We see no attempt on anyone's part to DIFFUSE the situation. Rather, they jumped right in to escalate.

You can't just make it up as you go along when there is a video involved, and like I said befoe, he had every right to be in any room he chooses in a public restaurant in his own district. If they want privacy, that would not be the place to DEMAND it, and the whining about it reduces the entire incident down to an elementary school yard bully "he did, no he did, no he did" scenario. This is not the way intelligent grownups relate to one another.
I agree - and he was not quiet and he insulted - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
He interrupted a meeting he was not invited to and was shouting at the people. He insulted people and the jerk didn't have have the decency to apologize.

He's very very worried about being fired this fall and he should be. He stopped working for the people of his district a long time ago as have a lot of other politicians in office.

This fall is going to be a very interesting time indeed.
Great post! (nm) - Nikki

Grayson is part of the problem in D.C. - Backwards Typist

[ In Reply To ..]

It's okay to make Joe Wilson apologize but Grayson doesn't think, and refuses to, apologize for his name-calling. If name-calling is okay by the dems, and that's part of the problem.  Take the dramatics he pulled during the health care debate with the very large posters "republicans want you to die quickly." How about the name-calling - "foot-dragging, knuckle dragging Neanderthals" or "nattering nabobs of negatism". That's okay with you? It's not okay for ANYONE in ANY party to do this.

So, because you state this meeting took place in a public restaurant, it was okay for Grayson to be there? So taking that into mind, you would also think it's okay if a family is having a family gathering/meeting in a public restaurant for anyone to join in just to cause trouble?  I wouldn't be happy if someone did that at my family gathering in a public restaurant.

It's time to stop excusing one party and blaming the other. Grayson is way out of line in that respect.  Yet his party does not make him apologize for any remarks he mades, but put of a big fuss when a pub makes a remark. It's just not acceptable for any party to behave this way.

Making it up as you go along...AGAIN. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
You have no idea what transpired before the video commenced, so you cannot say one way or the other how he came to be in the room in the first place. Grayson did not insert himself among a group of strangers, as your family seated at a table scenario would suggest. They all knew each other. In other words, as often is the case, the CONTEXT and surrounding circumstances are missing in the video, much the same way they are missing in your opening paragraph.

For the umpteenth time, nobody is green-lighting this behavior for one party and red-lighting it for the other. The fact remains that the dialog surrounding the ABDOMINABLE behavior out of tpots and their affiliates which has saturated the airways over the past couple of weeks is the ISSUE AT HAND at the moment, especially since there appears to be no end in sight and the as folks like Palin and Bachman try to take it to the next level and NORMALIZE the rhetoric a large public gatherings. THAT, my dear, is why you are seeing and hearing such a backlash over this. Normalization AIN'T HAPPENING, since the next logical step after that is the inevitable outbeak of bloodshed. Ever hear of nipping something in the bud? That's where it's at now.

These are death threats we are talking about. We are talking about literal calls to arms. We are talking about the BROTHER of a representative (an innocent bystander) who had the gas line to his house cut, creating a potentially fatal situation for an innocent family inside a house that may or may not have contained CHILDREN (and the surrounding neighborhood, I might add) after a TEA PARTY WEBSITE PUBLICIZED THE ADDRESS. How far out of hand does this CURRENT situation have to get before ANY pub or tpot (especially those in the leadership) can find the wherewithall to step up and act like law-abiding grownups?
I was not talking about that video. I was commenting - Backwards Typist

Excellent post - and I agree - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
You have very valid points, and I certainly agree that it is not okay for anyone no matter which party they are in to do this.

Yeah, it appears this fella needs a - vacation

[ In Reply To ..]
He says there was a pub who infiltrated an Organizing for American meeting and he wanted to know why the tea party was spying on him.

I don't know what kind of answers he thought he would get. What he got was a setup and he fell for it.

An invitation to the gathering was forwarded to him, he was told there was a Republican who infiltrated the Organizing for America meeting, and someone took a video of him. He should have known better.

Yes, he behaved very badly. Shame on him.

Excuse me? The pranksters engage in childish setups - aimed at embarassing him by

[ In Reply To ..]
creating fake news which they then proceed to exploit and lie about, with the expressed effort to make him look bad, (much the same way the now debunked Pimp/prostitute prank did)...and he's the one behaving badly? Rrriiiggghhhttt.

This only goes to show how utterly bankrupt pubs and tpots non-existent platform really is. They are constitutionally incapable of operating in any informed, intelligent, goal-oriented, cooperative manner and exert no effort whatsoever to address or work on the CRITICAL state of affairs of the nation. All they know how to do is undermine and destroy.

That, my dear, is what shame looks like.

The point is, he fell for it. Don't you think he - could have

[ In Reply To ..]
avoided the setup and the public upset? The tea party is obviously setting him up and aggravating him to the point of distraction. All I'm saying is that he fell for a trap and it could have been avoided possibly. It's just unfortunate that he gave them the opportunity to get such a video which has, no doubt, been edited.

The fella who was talking to him obviously was ready to say, "you interrupted our meeting." What a crock.

No. the point is there would have been nothing to avoid - had children not been pulling pranks.
[ In Reply To ..]
Don't you think there are more mature, effective and constructive ways to settle diffefences than these kinds of stunts that inevitably backfire and end up making the situation worse?
Yes I do, that's why no one should fall for - it
[ In Reply To ..]
We all know the tea partiers are behaving badly and no one can control anyone's behavior but their own. Why give them the satisfaction (and the ammunition I might add) of falling for their traps?
The details of the so called infiltration of the OFA meeting - are yet to be disclosed. Therefore,
[ In Reply To ..]
it is not possible to comment on background and context just yet, which can make a world of difference between speculation and reality. However, I cannot say I blame ANY democrat for being on edge about allegedly clandestine attendance at their meetings (unlike the deliberate trap setup/invitation) by pubs, cons and tpots, in view of the loose cannon nature of their behavior lately.

So, he was invited after all, huh? - Then why all the phoney outrange?

[ In Reply To ..]
Another all too common boring tactic pub/cons and tpot children engage, aimed at DELIBERATE division (as though there were not already enough of it there already).

This belongs under the post directly above it. - nm

the beginning of the website, it's obviously a "bash Democrats" site.

However, I did watch the tape, and all I have to say is I wish I lived in his district.  He has shown incredible strength and intestinal fortitude by standing up and throwing the crap he receives right back in the faces of his bashers.  Way to go, Grayson! Smile

I wholeheartedly agree with that statement. - nm

OMG! Alan GRAYSON??? Who Was Crazy Enough To Vote Him In?Nov 07, 2012
He was so hateful during his last stint in Congress. Did people forget how bad he was? He really had gone off the deep end. I can't believe he was voted back in. By who? Young people who never saw his antics? People who didn't want to spend time splitting votes and just hit straight D?  A serious question: Why did they call the election for Obama around 11:00 or so, when some states only had 3% of the vote in? That doesn't seem right to me.  What do they do--put a time ...
