Today The House Has Passed Their 40th Bill Against Obamacare

Before going home for a month of vacation for summer recess, the House has passed their 40th bill to repeal or dismantle Obamacare. Fortieth bill! Why? I guess because they thought that was a good use of taxpayers' money, passing yet another bill that would go absolutely nowhere, and maybe that the Democrats had just overlooked the first 39?

Yes, of course they know it's a waste of time and money, but they are willing to spend all that time and all that money to pass 40 bills-to-nowhere to prove to everybody, once and for all, that they are against government waste.

And blinded by their political ambitions, they fail to see that they are proving exactly the opposite.

organizing people in their districts to fight Obamacare, trying to create a national groundswell. Umhm. They are equipped with scripted lies to tell and deceptive, fearmongering handouts to hand out.

I was out of patience with these people long ago. There is no excuse for this appalling behavior. They do no longer call themselves the moral Americans and speak of family values, so the hypocrisy did finally come home to even them. Or they just got tired of trying to justify taking food from children and healthcare from the ill. It's all baldly about money now, although dressed up with phony concern about the national deficit.

My own congressman speaks in ALEC-scripted phrases, and his phony "town halls" are all by phone so none of his "constituents" can upset his routine with unscripted questions.

But, right down on the square is a new healthcare counseling center, with a big banner across the front that can't be missed. The nice ladies in there explain to anyone who walks in what healthcare benefits will be available to him personally, not just under Obamacare but under ancillary state and federal programs, and at what cost, and how to sign up.

Anyone who's wondering should check on the counseling resources available in their own area.
