Thus far, 9 states have legalized gay marriage.

equal rights. Each successive civil rights movement has taken such effort just to get fair representation.

The amount of effort some people will put in to make sure they can tell everyone else how to live their lives is amazing. I still can't believe California banned gay marriage with an amendment.

Hopefully CA will be the exception to the rule when all is said and done.

Every single struggle was worth fighting for, and I think I will see the inclusion of gays in my lifetime. I am so happy about that. :)

The younger generations today for the most part just don't see the fuss. I'm proud that the best of my generation started the big 20th century battle for civil rights and have come so far; but those who wish to oppress are still among us, and I have to be glad, in a grim way, that the death of our older generations of today will finish the job.
