1. House conservatives opposed want to add $300 billion in spending cuts that the Senate deferred for 60 days. This would kill the bill for now. House Whip supposedly looking for the 217 votes that would be needed to add the amendment.
2. If the 217 votes are not found, Speaker Boehner is telling his caucus he would like to put the bill (without addition of a kill-it-dead amendment) to the House for an up-or-down vote. If that happened, moderate GOP and Dems would come together to almost certainly pass it.
Update: Feeling now is reportedly that much of the GOP is worried about the first option "blowing up in their faces" and that it likely will be put for an up-or-down vote, in which case when the U.S. stock markets open in the morning the deal will be done. This part of it, anyway.
