Just one reason why America is going broke.

Nanny state at its finest! This is an actual call to an Austin, Texas, radio station.. ;

This is part of the reason Bernie won Hawaii. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
I don't know if it's still true, but at one time Hawaii was the biggest welfare state in the nation. Why work?

I only know one republican but let me tell you their - story - hardly left typical

[ In Reply To ..]
A few weeks ago I visited my high school friend. She is a senior, works full time at a shoe store, hard work. Her son who is 40 something stays home, plays video games all day, does not do anything, no housework, no cooking, no paying bills. The friend told me she was "angry" meaning voting for Trump. She told me she wish she and her son could live out in the country somewhere off the grid and just be away from "other" folks that bother her. The other folks are lower class black and Hispanic who come in her store. She fusses about them frequently. She things no Hispanics can speak English and blacks are fat and lazy. She also told me people could follow us because of our smart phones. I told her no, because I have a flip phone so guess I am not being spied on. This is the only republican I know and he has not worked for years, living off his senior mother.

The mother obviously has DEEP issues - that have nothing to do with politics

[ In Reply To ..]
I think the whole concept of the story is made-up to make Trump look bad and that he attracts racists and lazy people. I do not believe the story. More anti-Trump propaganda.

Blech. Anti-Trump posters will scrape the bottom of the barrel in desperation.
You're right. And the apple didn't fall far from - the tree in the case of her son!

I find it laughable that most of the agitators in the US at the moment - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
are liberals, spewing hatred for anyone who dares disagree with their views. I mean, think about it...many Trump supporters are working class individuals who are watching their futures and those of their children becoming more and more hopeless and they're angry. Such anger is justified. On the other hand, from what I have witnessed of many liberals is a constant stream of bullying tantrums because they feel, for some reason, their comfort and needs trump (pun intended) those of everyone else. I mean...I'm a republican, support Trump but I certainly do not have time to go out and protest or agitate - I work and take care of my family! As you stated, and I agree, just more anti-Trump crap. You'd think these people would clue in - they aren't going to dissuade us from supporting Trump no matter how petty or immature their behavior becomes.
I find it even more laughable that conservatives - believe Trump doesnt spew hatred.
[ In Reply To ..]
Brainwashed, hypnotized, or delusional?
You are spewing hatred, over and over and over - You have been brainwashed by liberal outlets
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm not hypnotized or delusional. Establishment bought and paid for politicians have ruined our economy. Big business and special interests are not financing the career politicians campaigns for nothing. They are bribing the politicians to protect their interests, be that in the form of tax laws or the ability to ship work offshore to get it done cheaper.
What do you honestly think Trump could possibly - do to benefit the country?
[ In Reply To ..]
Most of us can't even think of one thing, because let's face it - there ARE none. He has no viable leadership assets whatsoever.
He is economically successful and even if some have money - a lot of others do not
[ In Reply To ..]
My friend lost her small business due to the economy. My son lost his job due to downsizing in a company he worked for for years. My neighbor worked for the phone company as tech support/customer service. Her job was shipped to contractor in Philippines.

Trump has built a business empire. We are hoping he can turn things around here and make America great again.
We are economically successful. My husband - got a big raise at his job
[ In Reply To ..]
and we together bring in more than enough money to live an extremely comfortable life with extras along such as travel and his love of buying guitars and amps. We have never thought of America as anything but great. I have traveled to many countries where people lived in poverty, nothing that I ever see here. Just because you run a successful business does not mean you should run an entire country.
The reality of America is people like MTs - jobs are shipped to India
[ In Reply To ..]
And other jobs are being shipped offshore. The middle class is hurting because even those left with a job are not getting raises while the cost of living goes up.

America is under terrorist threats by ISIS and has been attacked before by people who hate us.

What is so great about America? Your husband has a nice job and can buy guitars?
It's sad that you believe voting for a greedy - billionaire will improve your own life.

Trump's sheep take everything so SERIOUSLY. - Wish the same were true for
[ In Reply To ..]
their choice of a "candidate".
Who says he doesn't? He takes the anger people are feeling see msg. - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
anger that is very real and for good reasons, and plays on that anger. Sure, he says a lot of offensive things, no doubt about it, but he's also bringing real concerns to light and that's worth looking past his stupid comments. Contrary to what the left believes, there are Trump supporters who don't hate Muslims, immigrants, or blacks. We hate what's happened to this country. I don't know anyone who seriously believes a wall will be built nor will all Muslims be booted out of the country. What I personally want is a secure border, a cap on immigration, better vetting of refugees, and a stronger showing against terrorism as well as a better economic picture for most of us, all of which Trump could accomplish and none of which is neither unreasonable nor "ism" of any sort. So, in short, nothing Trump has said has caused me to hate or fear anyone.
He takes peoples' anger and turns it into - mindless violence.
[ In Reply To ..]
He's got great thug potential.

In your own words - just one republican. - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
The many republicans I know are hardworking, responsible individuals devoted to their families, myself included. So, do you actually have a point?

I know two liberals whose sons also feed off their parents. - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
One is my sister but I guess you can't choose family can ya? She allows her son to live off of her, steal from her and do drugs in her home. She's a rabid liberal. The other is the daughter of a friend who also sponges off her parents, does drugs and little else. Her parents are liberals. So, again, I ask where you're going with your post? Seems to me that such behavior is present in any political party.
The OP, remember the OP was talking about - welfare and labeled it
[ In Reply To ..]
typical liberal. That is where this started.
Laziness and parental enabling don't have - political boundaries.

Car Broke DownJul 20, 2010
A man was driving along a busy road when he blew a tire. He pulled over by a field. On the other side of the field was an asylum. The man proceeded to change his flat tire. He took off the hub cab and placed the bolts into it. All the while a patient from the asylum stopped to watch. Just then a car rushed by knocking the hub cab and throwing the bolts all over the busy road. "Great!" the man said sarcastically, "What now?" The patient said to him, "Why not take one bolt from each other tire an ...

She didn\'t break the skin, just bruised her.  She just ran up to the lady, jumped on her and bit her in the rear end.  I was sitting on the front porch when it happened and I immediately flew off the porch after my dog.  I apologized up down to the lady.  Asked her if she was okay.  She went home and of course called the police and I was given a court summons.  I went to court this evening where basically I took a beating from the judge.  And of course th ...

Tx History Reminds Us They Were Dead Broke When TheyNov 13, 2012
So much for all that rugged spirit of independence. US history informs us that unilateral secession is unconstitutional without the consent of the remaining states except as a byproduct of revolution. The last time that notion took a test run, it was a costly, abysmal failure. Tx does have the option of seceding from itself via subdivision into smaller states that remain in the union. None of the above options pass muster with Governor Perry now that he is harboring fantasies of a second pre ...

USPS Broke Law In Allowing Workers To BoostJul 22, 2017
The United States Postal Service violated federal law by letting employees do union-funded work for Hillary Clinton's campaign and other Democratic candidates while on leave from the agency, according to an Office of Special Counsel report obtained by Fox News. The OSC determined the USPS "engaged in systemic violations" of the Hatch Act, a federal law that limits certain political activities of federal employees. While employees are allowed to do some political work on leave, the repor ...

One Reason I'm Better Off...Sep 03, 2012
The rest of the world does not despise America with quite the intensity it did under the prior party's administration. That's important to me, because this is the world my children will grow up in. There are a lot of reasons I'm better off than I was 4 years ago. That's one of them.   ...

Where Did All The Reason Go?Jun 20, 2015
America is killing itself through its embrace and exaltation of ignorance, and the evidence is all around us. Dylann Roof, the Charleston shooter who used race as a basis for hate and mass murder, is just the latest horrific example. Many will correctly blame Roof's actions on America's culture of racism and gun violence, but it's time to realize that such phenomena are directly tied to the nation's culture of ignorance. In a country where a sitting congressman told a cro ...

Another Reason To Keep Religion Out Of Gov'tFeb 12, 2010
The Virginia House of Delegates, their version of the House of Representatives, passed a bill on Wednesday that bans companies from tracking their employees with implanted microchips. On the surface, the bill sounds libertarian, albeit in a far-sighted Blade Runner sort of way. Reason Why I Hate My JobApr 07, 2014
