It's time to do away with the party system in our country. That way we just might start getting much better-quality candidates for office in the future.

Currently, whenever a truly good candidate comes along, the "party clique" pushes them out with impunity. It's truly disgusting.

When felons commit crimes and are serving a sentence in prison they have not "paid their debts to society". They have committed a crime and are serving a sentence for the said crime. They lose their rights as a prisoner for their wrong doings. This law was put in place for a reason. Once they have completed their sentence, THEN they can vote.

The only reason you want the criminals to vote is because they would be voting for a criminal herself. If they were in support of a republican you would be in full force to keep them from voting while they are serving their sentence for the crimes they committed.

Prisoners/criminals should not be afforded the same rights as those who do not commit crimes. If that is the case then just let them all out and close the jails and all the murderers, rapists, etc can roam free.

Besides, have you seen the prisons? Mirror image of the democrat party. That is why they need to be removed from office.

"Paid" is a past tense. What convicted felons/criminals are doing is "serving a sentence for their crimes". They are in the middle of paying their time, but have not paid their debt in full yet, and hence are not afforded the same things people who don't commit crimes are. Felons give up these rights when they commit crimes and go to prison. When you start treating felons/criminals like they have not done anything wrong then why bother having them in prison at all. That's like letting a child play video games, watch movies, play with their friends, etc during a time-out/punishment. Prison is a punishment. If you are going to give them the same treatment as people on the outside who have not committed a crime and are law-abiding citizens, then heck, let give them all free access to be able to leave and go to McDonalds, or go see a movie or go shopping. Lets let them take vacations, go on dates. How about we let the rapists and pedophiles hang out at the school yards.

Again, paid is a past tense word. It will work in a sentence talking about "after" someone has served their time in prison and are now out.

Anyone else watch Walking Dead on AMC? I have to say, that season finale last night had me holding my breath for the first 25 minutes. Downright horrifying and much better than what TV "horror" fare usually offers, that's for sure!
