...thinks to notify the election board that their loved one has died?; but do you mean to tell us that 30,000 votes were cast using the identities of dead voters?? Just by using my critical-thinking skills, I find that just about impossible to believe.

Voter registration authorities are supposed to use - SS death records to keep the rolls clean.

I wonder why this problem hasn't been discovered long before now? If it's a huge voter fraud problem that is long-standing, it looks like they should've caught it and fixed it years ago.

The point is that carelessness of this kind creates - a fraud vulnerability. (sm)

I happen to agree that the state should NOT have been so careless as to not keep the rolls up-to-date, and it should've been caught years ago. I don't think 30,000 names of dead voters on the rolls equate to thousands or even hundreds of cases of actual voter fraud....and I mean ACTUAL fraud, not just inadvertent mistakes like voting booth attendants checking off a similar-sounding name when a voter checked in--things like that.

Yeah. I'd like to know why this issue was a no-show - during Ws reign.

Do any of you who think this is such a travesty (suddenly, now that Obama might be reelected) know the answer to this question: How many of those dead voters actually "voted" where it wasn't just an inadvertent mistake, perhaps on the part of the voting booth workers? I read that where that might have happened accidentally, it was because of things like a deceased man's son with the same (i.e., Jr.) or similar name was inadvertently checked off. I would love to see a trustworthy report on how much actual FRAUD has been committed because of this issue. If I were persuaded to believe that it's a huge problem, I might change my opinion.

And, again-- no, dead voters names should NOT be on the voter rolls. Two months before a major presidential election is NOT the time to be suddenly making it an issue or trying to insinuate that it's some diabolical Democratic plot to cheat on the election.
