Is God Dead? Or Merely Bored?

Would love to hear some opinions on this subject.

I'm pretty weary of posts here and on other boards (especially comedy) that say - this is "interesting" or "funny" or whatever with nothing but a link. How do I know its not a link to a virus? And how do I know I'll have the slightest interest in what you're linking to? If you can make the effort to post, why can't you make the effort to at least hint at the subject you're posting about? Posts lke this are a waste of your time and mine.

However, since He has been largely legislated out of government and out of our lives, he's not putting up a fuss. He is just taking his hands off and allowing us to manage things for our brilliant selves since we feel we are so much more capable than He is.

I think we need to consult him on a few matters.

I read the article and at the end the only question was... And the author's point was....?

That "new" atheists annoy Christians or that Christians annoy "new" atheists? That an atheist questions all religions and members of religion are required to answer their questions? Isn't that what has been going on for a very, very long time?

And what the heck is a "new" atheist anyway? What makes them "new"? Atheism is still A-theism, right? Nothing new about that. Isn't the point of A-theism that they don't question -- they simply just don't believe? If an atheist has questions, isn't that an acknowledgement that they may be wrong, that there could actually be a God?

Finally, if an atheist claims they post questions to disprove the existence of God, then aren't they guilty of proselytizing -- a heinous sins in their minds that only Christians commit? And if they are proselytizing and trying to convert people to their line of reasoning, doesn't that make them a "religion" by definition?

So basically that's what I came away with after reading this blog or article or whatever it was. It was just another rant against Christianity.

Sad to say that I end up cooking the same five or six things every week. I think my taste buds have atrophied. Anyone have any ideas for something really good (also fairly fast and easy to make)? My husband doesn't like things that are too spicy (100% Norwegian--family story was that his mother still had the same spices she got for her wedding 50 years on the spice rack ) but I'm looking for a change. ...

Anyone else watch Walking Dead on AMC? I have to say, that season finale last night had me holding my breath for the first 25 minutes. Downright horrifying and much better than what TV "horror" fare usually offers, that's for sure! At least at the end they confirmed there is indeed a season 3 in the works and didn't leave us hanging like they did at the end of season 1. The man didn't have a license for the assault rifle, as he spent time in prison for killing his grandmother. I know banning assault rifles won't immediately solve anything.
