I know banning assault rifles won't immediately solve anything. There are already so many in possession. But as gun companies stop making them and they get harder and harder to obtain, they WILL gradually become less prevelent.
Keep your shotguns. Keep your handguns. But let's compromise and ban the military style weapons. No one needs them. This is not a video game.
It is possible for us to look back in 50 years and wonder why it took us so long to welcome change. I, for one, would like to see that evolution.
