According to an article in The Atlantic, "...the researchers recognize that Republicans might have statistically happier marriages because of who Republicans tend to be: white folks. “One reason Republicans have happier marriages is that, as a party with a larger share of white couples, they are less likely to face the discrimination, segregation, and poverty that minority couples often experience in America, all of which can compromise the quality of married life,” they write. While it’s useful to organize this kind research using one variable, like party affiliation, perhaps another way of writing this analysis might carry a different headline: White, Privileged People More Likely to Be Happy in Marriage."
Very interesting.

Any race, any gender, any persuasion...we all have the free will to make something of ourselves. Or not. Not buying your whining rant of white privilege. Time to find yet another excuse or wake up and hear the music.
What the heck are you talking about??? - sm

Who's on a "whining rant?" Good God, I posted a link to an article, quoted a sentence from said article to provide some context that Republicans are supposedly have happier marriages, and said "very interesting." How this turned into a "whining rant of white privilege" I'll never know. Get over yourself.

Racism Still Blights Southern US Juries: StudyJun 08, 2010By Agence France-PresseMonday, June 7th, 2010 -- 11:00 am
Having an "out of wedlock child" was enough to remove a black juror from a 1998 Mississippi murder trial involving an African-American and a white victim. Since then, nothing much has changed in the old south, a newly released study has said.
When it was all over, Alvin Robinson was found guilty by a jury of 10 whites and two blacks, and sentenced to 20 years behind bars for a murder he claimed was in self defense.
Two years later, an ...
