University of Michigan study calls Obama

Excellent research by a fine institution! From a total of 44 U.S. Presidents, Obama has been rated as the 5th best, according to a study recently completed at The University of Michigan. The Public Relations Office at UofM released this statement: "After almost eight years in office, American academics have rated President Obama the 5th Best President in American History." These are the results according to UofM: 1. Lincoln, Reagan, and Truman tied for first place 2. Sixteen Presidents tied for second place 3. Twenty-three other Presidents tied for third place 4. Jimmy Carter came in fourth, and ... 5. Obama was fifth.;
I agree with this: Obama was worse than Carter. - But Carter 4th best? My sides are aching.
[ In Reply To ..]Since 2014 (or perhaps earlier), the very nonpartisan Quinnipiac "Worst President" poll shows Carter and Obama trading places for the bottom of the stack.
You can't find many sane people who would put Carter 4th best in history, so that immediately calls this "fine study" into serious question.
On the other hand, most of the so-called "studies" conducted by modern academia seems to be able to prove whatever it wants to prove, and we know how academia rolls politically, eh girls?
