Republican "promises"

Posted: Aug 19, 2015

The Republicans seem to be throwing out a lot of promises  to see what will stick.  I am wondering:

1.  How do they propose they would repeal the 14th amendment of the Constitution to take away birthright citizenship?  Isn't this a very difficult thing to do?  The proposed ERA amendment (Equal rights for women) has never been made an amendment since proposed in 1923.

2.  How  would Mexico be forced to pay for a border wall.  Would it work?   Will the people in the US who employ the illegals be prosecuted?

3.  Can the US legally go into another country and steal its oil?  Would they draft soldiers to accomplish this?  How many lives would be lost?   How much would that cost?

4.  Repeal Obamacare?  How many times has a vote been done to repeal it and how many court cases filed to no avail?   President Obama did not walk into office and say abacadabra and *poof* we had Obamacare.  It took over a year to come to a vote and pass through the Congress.   What about the 16 million people now covered who would be back to trying to find insurance coverage with pre-existing conditions, unaffordable premiums, over lifetime caps, etc.?

5.  How can the US infrastructure and things like education and climate change be addressed while continuing to give tax cuts to the rich and corporations?

I just want to hear the Republican SOLUTIONS.  They have sat back for 8 years and have done nothing but whine and complain as far as I can tell.

You mean something other than soaking the rich and - raising taxes and class envy

tactics?

The money for a border between Mexico and the US was allocated years ago, but the wall was never built.

Obamacare was implemented illegally because the states never agreed to pay, but the feds paid for it anyway, knowing full well people would become dependent and it would be hard to change. You are mistaking RINOs with real conservatives who want change.

Dept of Education always runs out of money. It goes up year after year. Maybe a little austerity would be nice, or getting back to reading, writing and arithmetic instead of gay gender studies and how to feel good about yourself.

If your REALLY want to affect change, then get back to The Constitution and get rid of many of these wasteful dept that do nothing but spend, spend, spend. Look at the toxic spill in Colorado by the EPA. That was done intentionally to try and get more funding.

That question is hilarious, considering over the last 7 or so - years some of us have been

I understand you get your foreign policy information from "watching the shows."

At least you are honest--still just as bad as Sarah Palin, though, not being able to name what she reads for her info.
And he gets more leeway because he is MALE - and rich--talk about class envy

Only reason people support him is to be like him. He's brash, he's successful, he doesn't let anything or anyone stand in his way...sounds like the dream of the insecure...wannabe like him.
Duh, you forgot something. - sm

Because he is rich, he is willing to spend his OWN MONEY and he is NOT going to take money from anyone and be obliged to do their bidding!! GO DONALD!!!
Over 4.5 billion to build a wall? - Almost empty piggy bank
[ In Reply To ..]
Oh yeah, he just declares bankruptcy and sticks it to the laborers and suppliers.
Do you not understand? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I am the poster you answered. With regard to spending his own money, he's spending it for the campaign. He is NOT taking money from lobbyists or others who want him to do their bidding. He does not have the equivalent of a Clinton Crime Foundation to covertly funnel money from foreign investors.
Did you care about the billions Obama is - costing including healthcare for
[ In Reply To ..]
illegals? The money was appropriated years ago to build the wall. It just never happened and both parties (uniparty) are to blame.

I met at a party for Kaiser told me that hospitals recover about 3% of uninsured billings. So you can figure out who pays those costs (taxpayers).
There is no free lunch. It's only a matter of who pays for - it. Call it Obamacare, Medicaid, whatever,

No, Trump actually THINKS he IS KING - sm

No support is needed. I think he is going to be very surprised, if, god forbid, he is elected, that his support in Congress is sparse, unless he uses his money to buy them too.
Maybe Donald can spend his own $ to build that wall... - sm

Don't forget the 2-part deal that not even Congress is ALLOWED to see - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
obama and Kerry TRUST Iran to follow through and play by the rules. Are they so naive and dumb or just plain stupid?

If we want to know what's in the 2-part deal, we need to listen to what Iran is saying. it's not good.

It's been written that even if Congress votes against the deal, it doesn't stop it. All it needs is Obama's signature whether Congress accepts it or not.

So you know what Obama is going to do. Heck, he doesn't care. His presidency is almost over. If a Republican is elected president and our country is attacked by Iran's new long-range missiles that they are buying from Russia, who will be to blame? The DemonRats will definitely blame it on the Republican president.

That party is so sickening lately. A bunch of delusionists with hatred for anything not their idea.

This is what got me...

“Under the terms of the agreement, sanctions on Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a paramilitary force known to commit acts of terrorism across the globe, will be lifted.”
