he has to resort to attacking her instead of the zillions of inconsistencies the defense has failed to address. Seems like I've seen this tactic somewhere before. It always fails to impress.

was not being very professional in that one incident. I wouldn't go so far as to say she was obnoxious, but she sure was rude a couple times during this trial. I would say that she was arrogant, though.

Not one person, or a group of people, is/are capable of controlling someone's brain and especially the heart of someone who believes in his/her particular religion.

America, as far as laws, etc., MUST remain "secular" in order for freedom of religion to remain just that: freedom of religion for all.

Some "Christian" groups are all fired up because they're not receiving SPECIAL treatment, and that's just too bad, since there is nothing "special" about them.

Hate to disappoint, but I heard a Florida attorney say this morning that state law allows for manslaughter to be added as a lesser offense upon request of only one attorney. No bias involved there. It's the law. Here's another inconvenient truth. Unopposed candidate Judge Nelson was automatically re-ELECTED to the 18th Circuit Court of Seminole County in August 2012. See link.

being openly defiant and hostile after the judge issued rulings he didn't like or agree with. It's her court. West had it coming to him and the judge was more than fair when she informed him he could take it up during the appeals process where he'd be trying to convince OTHER JUDGES he acted appropriately. I just wish the jury had a chance to see his disrespectful displays of poor judgment.

not to testify and that the decision is THEIRS to make, not their attorney's. Pro forma. Standard operating procedure. The objections were simply to the timing of that process, not the content. Like I said before, it's the judge's court and it is up to her how she runs it. I'm sure she had a perfectly legitimate reason for raising the issue at that point in time. Perhaps she had knowledge that GZ was being pressured not to take the stand.

In EVERY trial in a US court the judge asks the defendant if they will be testifying and if their decision is of their own free will, again, EVERY trial.
