I thought that was a key reason for the embargo and lack of diplomatic relations all these years, because Cuba had seized American owned assets in Cuba.

No one in the news brings up how much Russia is trying to get stuff in Cuba.

I don't anticipate anything good except the release of this hostage, but at what price, three of their most hardened spies?

I still remember Bay of Pigs and the Russians sticking missiles in Cuba. Boy, don't want to go through that again.

The Russia thing is going to be hard to deal with. Putin is a mad man just like others in history. He will do anything to get the US back.

Gas prices have dropped $2 where I live, - from $4.65 to $2.65 and lower.

It's a joke for me, since everyone has blamed Obama for such high gas prices, I now say, "thanks Obama." Never thought any president had anything to do with gas prices, but people keep making that a banner criticism. Best, I can figure, those people have absolutely no idea what the president actually does influence.

about the gas prices at $1.89 and it was explained that the president can't do anything about the prices. It depended on supply and demand and the countries that produce it.

Now everyone seems to be congratulating Obama for the law gas prices...yet he has NOTHING to do with it. It still has to do with supply and demand. Drilling permits on PRIVATE lands are the reason gas is going down in this country. You can't thank Obama for that. He has nothing to do with it.
