Excellent article about "The" interview

Way to go Jon Stewart. I had lost hope awhile back and thought he was just one of the sheople following blindly. I'm glad to see he has come to his senses. I also gained respect for Jon after watching his interview on the O'Reilly show a few weeks ago and listening to what he said.

This is a great article. It's not the actual interview...that is a link a few posts below. This is an article by The Washington Post about the interview. I guess Obama must have thought that Stewart would drool all over him like the Spew did, but he didn't. He just did what Stewart does best. Interview and actually point out the facts. Way to go Jon.

but I don't like Obama but I would at least show him enough respect not to call him "dude!" Whether or not you like or dislike the president, that position should be respected.

Stewart is a comedian and I wouldn't have expected anything different from him. I think it's funny he called him "dude". It was said in a joking manner and I know Obama took it that way. That word is used all the time. I don't think Stewart was being disrespectful, he said it because he know it would make people laugh and it did.

Maybe if he acted a bit more presidential/statesman like and not so aloof it would be different, but since he's been acting like a "dude" lately I just think it was very appropriate.

And hey...at least he didn't call him a "b".

Anyone have any suggestions how to interview well. I just suck at interviews. I look great on paper but I think I either tend to be too jokey or too serious/scared/timid. Any ideas how to get a happy balance and not come off a total idiot? I have not had an in-person interview in about 3 years. Need to get out of MT, job is being outsourced soon and need to get out. They did not pull any punches like MSM does. I had the Univision site up but there are 3 videos on there that all play at the same time. Distracting if you don't hurry up and stop the playing. On the Univision site, there was also an interview with Romney and the audience seemed to like it.
