"If the Democrats want to insult the women of America by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing them for them a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, then so be it," Huckabee said. "Let's take that discussion all across America."

I am sick to death of hearing men talk about women's bodies and what we need. Birth control is now covered by insurance, and he acts like this is some extreme measure. BC is a medication. We take it for MANY reasons. He obviously doesn't know this. I take it to keep my periods regular--I certainly don't need it for birth control purposes (my husband has a vasectomy for that). I wish men would take a simple sex education course before they run their mouths off about women's bodies and what women do and do not need. This is between us and our DOCTORS, NOT our politicians! Keep politicians and their personal, PRIVATE beliefs OUT of it!

They have control over theirs as well, but since the women are the ones who have to bear the "burden" of an unwanted pregnancy, then ultimately they should either keep their legs together or use birth control. It's common sense.

Women need to control their libidos. It's all up to them. But... I thought the woman is supposed to submit?

In reality, it's only the poor women who have to control their libidos. Women who can afford birth control can have sex anytime, anywhere, with anyone they choose.

So, the poor women submit to their poor husbands, because that's what they are supposed to do. Then the poor women have babies they can't afford. So, then the government has to support the poor babies or they can let the poor babies starve.

I guess sex is the new luxury, saved only for those who can afford birth control. Poor women, control yourselves!! Put that aspirin between your knees!!. I'm sure your poor husband will understand.

So... this is what the Reps have planned for their 2014/2016 strategies. Good luck with that.

I agree, the office should be respected, not used as a means to any personal or political end, which 2 Republican leaders (one a presidential hopeful and one a former hopeful--former due to illegal and now indicted activities) are currently embroiled in (Christie and McDonnell).

The voices of the Republican party, those public speeches made at RNC events, are the carriers of what the Republican party stands for and what people will vote for regardless of the nominee.
