In response to below re: why are you voting for Trump

Posted: Jul 24, 2016

It is painfully obvious that President Obama used the tools he had available in order to do something. Unfortunately, the only thing republicans (the ones in control of congress) know is dictatorship - they know nothing about real life and how one has to compromise. I do it all day, every day in my life or I would not have a job let alone a husband or relationships. When you lose at a game or an election, you then have to play fair. They have acted like spoiled little losers and it makes me ashamed to even watch them talk, like little boys in school fighting on the playground. You have to rise above and work with others. If you are not willing to do that, then you should absolutely not have a job that is paid for by the majority of this country, that is thievery.

Were people voted for in congress to do nothing, really? I mean, they have health insurance, probably cars that are paid for, pay for no gas on a daily basis, their spouses and children are probably all covered - all the while taking all this money, to just say no to President Obama for 8 years. Disgusting.  I think there are so many Republicans who could have really contributed and helped our country in SO many ways the last 8 years...I agree with many things from many Republicans, but not dictatorship.

From what I am understanding, the republicans voting for Trump are doing so because they have a failed party, a party that has completely ignored the will of the majority in this country.

Your representatives in congress have somehow hijacked our democratic process only to force their will on this great country. Basically, the majority of this country voted in a black president, and the majority has been completely disrespected by this congress.

IMO, your congress does not hate Obama, they hate what he represents, they hate the majority of this country who want equal opportunity and equality in everything, they hate, period.

The majority want diversity, want democracy, and your party absolutely wants to keep their money and power and not let anyone else in. They only look like selfish greedy spoiled brats, that is what I see. Afraid of change, afraid to let anyone else have anything for fear of losing what they have.

Why are people interested in Trump because from all I see, he is exactly like Obama was, all about change, taking a chance on someone with no experience. People for Trump are actually against the republican congress, isn't that why they want him?

You have had a do-nothing congress with a stranglehold on this country, who refused to work with Obama in any way, shape or form. Geeze they even admitted it minutes after his election. Does it take a genius to figure that out.

They hate what Obama stands for, not Obama.

Why people would want a dictator is bizarre. If you want real change, you must get rid of congress and the senate, these people have all the power, which is why Obama has done what he has done, just to get something done, and by the way, he has always done what the MAJORITY wants, that is what the majority of this country wants, affordable healthcare (which it will be, we are coders and MTs, we know we are going to eventually have better quality and lower costs in the future and the majority of this country wanted the change), but why the congress could not have jumped in and worked at a better system is disgraceful.  They want it to fail, you are all playing right into their hands.  They have the power and could have made healthcare affordable right now, could have our roads fixed and people working on our grid, which once that goes, none of this will matter at all.  But instead, they chose to do NOTHING, because they made a pact, a promise not to do anything, all the while claiming that to be the will of the American people.  If I hear that one more time by McConnel or Ryan, I will scream.  No, the majority of American People voted in Obama... majority rules whether you like it or not, or else we have a dictator.

Congress will castrate even your Trump. He will also have no real power. I would bet the congress does the same thing to him the first few minutes, make a pact, refuse to work with him, blah blah blah.  You think Trump's kids and wife are going to walk into congress and say do what we want because we look good?

Your Republican party has caused the unrest in this country, at least your Repub congress which seems so full of hate and greed.

I am a registered Independent but I vote for whoever is in my best interest, and Trump (or Hillary) are not it. Absolutely not. I will vote for whoever is on the ballot that I think will work for me, Ms Average Citizen.

Just stop the hypocrisy - embrace Obama because voting for Trump is the exact same thing, maybe worse because he is a proven liar and flip-flopper, and worse, and I think he will do exactly what your congress wants him to eventually if he should win. He will make deals, all right, deals to help himself, congress and all the rich people - we will be servants period.

Imagine Trump against you. Imagine disagreeing with him on something - you really think you would have a voice? He would just say 'kick her out' etc etc.

He is not a public servant, he hires servants.

Trump will not be able to do anything if elected other than line his own pockets and force everyone to wear Trump hats. Reminds me of North Korea. You better adore him or else...

PS:  I wonder if Trump made a deal with Paul Ryan - maybe he will be the actual president...Trump will probably lose interest because he seems more interested in his golf courses and businesses...

Sick of the petty little name-calling, also.  Grow up Mr. Trump, talk about issues please...

...however, as the world get more populated, it does not seem very wise to just blurt out constantly whatever is on your mind. If you do this, then you should expect confrontation. Life is too short, and why shouldn't we all try to respect each other more. What is actually wrong with that? Well, I guess there is too much hypocrisy in religion, too, because I was taught the 10 commandments. Guess they do not count anymore.

...and in my life experiences, those are usually the people who cause harm. I know a lot of blow-hard people with big-mouths in my life, but I would absolutely not want them controlling my life. But I do agree they have a right to their opinions.

But if the majority would elect Trump, then we would have to accept it...and try to work together. (He may actually be a democrat anyway, which I have more in common with than republicans...)

I actually do feel safer from ISIS with him at the helm, despite his inexperience compared to Hillary. Safety and security is my main worry and the fact that cops are being slaughtered all over is very, very upsetting. If we get a major terrorist attack - and I believe we will, it's a matter of time - with Hillary as president, all she is going to do is apologize to ISIS because America upset them in the first place and then invite them over for tea at the White House to "discuss how the two of us can work together, hold hands and discuss ways that America and ISIS can co-exist in a peaceful world." I'm sick of politics as usual and think we would do better with a businessman in charge. Go Trump (even though I don't like his hair) and I wish Hillary would just retire into the sunset with Slick-Willie, be a doting grandmother and leave America alone for Pete's sake! No more Clinton's in the White House! Time for a change.

Obama called me a teabagger, so I call him a - colostomy bagger.

Because Voting In Ohio Just Isn't Hard Enough..smAug 10, 2012
Ohio voting just got a little harder, not because early voting has been cut down, and not because of new ID restrictions. That's right. Republicans are doing everything in their power to ensure a win in Ohio. The latest tactic works on a county by county basis. County by county it is decided whether or not to extend hours at the voting sites. Each county has a commission comprised of two dems and two pubs. You would think this would be a good thing to extend hours in this state right? ...
