Voila!!  I give you the Veterans Administration plan.

Yep, that's what the experts are saying. - VA = government-run health care.

to NOT have universal healthcare. Check out Germany's plan. That's a winner.

We have become a country of greed that only cares about money instead of people's lives. And many on this board are okay with that. When someone's ability to keep living depends on the number of dollars in his/her wallet, then our country has lost its morals and is just plain evil.

Abolish the health insurance industry. There will always be other kinds of insurance that they can sell. Healthcare insurance, the way it works, is just plain WRONG, with CEOs earning MILLIONS of dollars a year on the backs of those most needy. Money should not be an issue when it comes to staying alive.

The Myths Of The Single Payer SystemOct 26, 2013
For all the people who want a socialized health care system (i.e. single payer system), it's not what you think it is.  This is written by someone who has been working in the field for years and understands it.  There are also people in other countries in this type of health care system that cross referencing verfies the accurancy of this information. Myth No. 1: Everyone has access to health care a single-payer system. Everyone in a single-payer system has health insurance, not ...

Single Payer For AllJul 26, 2017
If we really want single payer it makes sense to include items that will reduce the cost for everyone. 1. We need to remove malpractice insurance and malpractice lawsuits. If we left these in place we'd force doctors to practice defensive medicine. Anyone complaining of intercostal muscle strain must be kept overnight in the hospital and submit to a battery of tests to rule out a heart problem. 2. Speaking of heart problems... Most of those are due to a bad diet (not to mention obesi ...

Physicians For Single PayerJul 24, 2017
The program would be funded by the savings obtained from replacing today’s inefficient, profit-oriented, multiple insurance payers with a single streamlined, nonprofit, public payer, and by modest new taxes based on ability to pay. Premiums would disappear; 95 percent of all households would save money. Patients would no longer face financial barriers to care such as co-pays and deductibles, and would regain free choice of doctor and hospital. Doctors would regain autonomy over patient care. ...

CA Assembly Leader Shelves Single Payer Health Plan. Jun 24, 2017
health care system in California dimmed Friday when the leader of the state Assembly announced he doesn't plan to take up the single-payer bill this year. Speaker Anthony Rendon called the bill "woefully incomplete." The bill, which has passed the Senate, lays out a plan for a government-run health system in California, but it doesn't inc ...

Nothing ever gets done - all that ever happens on Capital Hill is the Dems and the Pubs fight, and try to derail each other's ideas, bills, etc.  There has just got to be a better way.  The elections need an overhaul, as well.  No sooner are politicians elected to office (in EITHER party!), than they're already campaigning for re-election.  Or for more of their party's seats in Congress.  Etc. etc.  No bill that is enacted ever stays up for long, it&# ...

Anyone Ever Tried That Hair Removal System No No?Jul 29, 2013
I believe it's called the No No???  It is a hair removal system that supposedly you can use for legs, underarms, and EVERYTHING.  Was wondering if anyone had used it and if it works and how long you are hair-free.  I did notice it had a buffing pad with it and I did try a removal system once where you basically and your legs down with what felt like sand paper to remove the hair, but it was VERY time consuming and I would just prefer a quick shave every couple of days as oppo ...

Fraud In Health Care SystemMar 13, 2010
It is estimated that there is at least 100 billion dollars health care fraud annually.  There are truly needy people and they should be helped.  But there are also many people who don't have health insurance because they just do not want to pay premiums, use their money for other things instead, when they could pay and are able to pay.  This is just not right and this needs to be stopped, and that should make a dent in health care costs.  Why not go after the health care ...

Question: Why Do You Think Americans Are (generally) Willing To Accept A Two-party System?Jul 29, 2013
Here's the reason for my question:  The two-party system is, and has been corrupt for a long time. In a country where you can have a choice of about 35 different types of salad dressing but only two viable choices for the highest office in the land, I just find it is stunning that Americans are willing to stand for this. Answer how you will, but I am hoping the discussion goes past slamming any one president or party and more towards how we as a nation have largely been manipulated in ...
