Okay, I think that picture is rather juvenile. Here's why. - sm

Accusing the President of the United States for not seeing Islamic terror is ridiculous. Headlines from the New York Post or any conservative media that pretend like the POTUS is blind ignores the truth and says more about conservative media outlets than it does about President Obama. Why?

Because, of course, the president knows who the terrorists are and who they're killing, but he also knows exactly what George W. Bush and his administration knew. The terrorists use whatever means they can to recruit people to their cause. One of the primary ways they recruit the masses is to state that the United States is at war with them at to produce propaganda calling for jihad. Any POTUS with two brain cells to rub together is not going to state that America is at war with ANY religion or put a label on anything of the sort.

For instance, when Terry Jones called for "burn a Koran day," what kind of statement would the POTUS have been making if he had said something inferring that Christians have called for bonfires where the Koran will be burned on 9/11? How would it make you feel if the POTUS referred to the daily protests by the Westboro Baptist Church as the Christians' war on America's military or described their tweets thanking God for the Boston Marathon bombing as the Christians' endorsement of the terrorists' actions?

If any President used a broad brush to paint any religion for the actions of a few extremists of their faith, it would only serve as provocation and playing directly into the hands of the few. Imagine the POTUS making the statement that America was in a religious war and singled out a religion. He would sign, seal, and deliver on a silver platter the most powerful recruiting tool that our enemies could ever fabricate.

What kind of leader would hand the enemy that kind of legitimacy and recruiting tool for the sole purpose of appeasing his political rivals at the expense of the military of our country and the fighting forces of our allies that are in harm's way? The POTUS is not blind to Islamic terror; he's just keenly aware that this type of label comes with consequences and an unknown cost, and he merely refuses to legitimize the terrorists and hand them a verbal victory and the blank check that would be attached to it.

The post clearly states that it is the opinion of the writer that the picture is juvenile and then goes on to explain why.

IMO, it's the definition of juvenile when conservatives mischaracterize and distort the words of liberals and then nod in agreement at the fabrication, and it's certainly not the first instance of conservative logic backfiring.

That doesn't exactly fit the right-wing propaganda narrative that Obama is blind to everything, does it? I guess it must be difficult to keep up with the right-wing rhetoric of the day.

Perhaps if the GOP/Tea Party of personal attacks can take a break long enough to come up with a cohesive message and put it into a talking points memo, maybe the non-thinkers in their party could get a Republican elected to the White House. Then again, I've seen a preview of 2016's clown car...... so probably not. Their party seems poised to literally rip each other apart over almost every single issue. Got my popcorn ready.

Does anyone else have pain in the front of their ankle from using the foot pedal? After waaaay too many years doing this job, the front of both ankles (I switch feet while transcribing) are now really bothering me. No swelling, tho. I go to the gym 2 hours a day and of that, 45 min is cardio. Ankles don't bother me then. Wondering if anyone has had this and found a solution? Any advice would be most greatly appreciated! ...
