Free speech

This was deleted so I am reposting it.

Trashing Muslims is wrong.  Trashing Americans is right.  (who knew)

So following rules doesn't apply to you? - total lack of credibility

You want to continue ***********, I hope your posts are pulled EVERY time.

Oh I see, only liberals are allowed to pull up posts - that are gone. And since

[ In Reply To ..]
I was talking to the OP of the article and she said she wished she had not asked that it be taken down I reposted it.

As the moderator says, if you don't like it don't read it.

Her post stays - Moderator - sm

She said the OP of the original one wants it up.

Free speech is important for everyone. Not just one side.

Your race comments were uncalled for and deleted.

I provided a pic of what's considered an example of "freedom of speech" in the - above article.

[ In Reply To ..]
http://general.mtstars.com/350414.html

In that picture, if you replaced the word Muslim with Christian, African-American, etc., everyone would (and should) consider it hate speech.

In this thread, some consider this a freedom of speech violation and others consider it (threatening) hate speech. If freedom of speech is important, why is only one side allowed to fully express their opinions on this? IMO, it most certainly is a religion/race issue.
You are free to repost your pic - Moderator

I didn't re-post the article. Everyone is allowed to express their opinions. Nobody is stopping anyone from expressing their opinions.

However, people need to state their opinions without race bating and without announcing they are going to turn posters in to officials.
No. The pic is right below this. It was not removed - sm

This is the pic that sparked some of the controversy in the above article. IMO, it's threatening and hateful toward a group of people based on their religion/race.

If someone can post an article about how a pic like this is freedom of speech, why can't others give their opinions on how it's hateful without it being edited?
Offensive picture removed. Thank you. - Moderator

I posted the pic because IT IS THE SUBJECT OF THE OP's - ARTICLE!

Seriously?

The "how to wink at a Muslim" pic is part of what this whole thread is about! And it's removed why exactly? It's what some are calling "freedom of speech" here.

So, people are free to defend it as freedom of speech, but others are not allowed to post what they're defending to prove it's wrong?

Really?
I think Judicial Watch and something Eric Holder (sm) - Some will never understand

It's already all over the Internet. Why would you even bother to post it on this forum? To deliberately stir the pot? Do you truly believe that deeply in the need to spread Islamophobia?
I posted it because it's pertinent to the thread. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Some here are defending this as freedom of speech. While others (myself included) who are saying it's hateful are being edited.

You just posted it in your link for crying out loud! Are you pot stirring or just hypocritical?
True. The original post references this specifically - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
It's totally pertinent and has everything to do with the original post, which asserts that Muslims receive special treatment beyond that which is granted to Americans at large. Nothing can be further from the truth.

Individual American citizens are free to publish all kinds of things in all kinds of places. Federal, state, and local representatives represent people and municipalities, and it's wise for any jurisdiction to educate its officials regarding actions that could bring liability to the state or local government.

Can you imagine ANY state or local official making light of leveling a gun at Methodists?

This isn't about curtailing the rights of Americans or offering protections to Muslims that are not available to everyone else.
Radical Islam is EVERYWHERE - Too bad *****
[ In Reply To ..]
***** constantly "stir the pot" by constant ridicule of those well aware of what goes on with radical Islam. Pretending like this is not a problem only adds to the problem. Try asking Mrs. Rigby in the UK about her huband being hacked to death in the street or the 9-1-1 victims about radical Muslims - "it's all over the internet"...if you cannot follow your own advice, save us from your bleeding heart, misplaced sympathies.

"What we have seen on the streets of London has been particularly sickening, a really, really heinous act of I would say criminality -- and I'm being careful to say criminality, not terrorism," he told CNN." They won't even call it what it was - cold-blooded terrorism by radical Muslims hacking a man to death by machete in broad daylight.

I think the moderator just misunderstood your post regarding it already - being posted.
[ In Reply To ..]

I have problems with a lot of the moderating bias that goes on here, but I do think this was just an honest mistake.  The moderator is not an active participant here and obviously doesn't follow the posts closely enough to get the full gist of the whole back and forth. Sometimes a little extra explanation can be a bit too much of a good thing.  (This post meant in the friendliest and most supportive way possible from the "WWJD" poster, so obviously on your side.)

Thank you. - nm

I thought the pic was offensive and you wanted the pic removed - Moderator - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I told you you were free to post the pic and you wrote back, no, it was not removed. So thought you were saying the picture is offensive and wanted it removed, so I removed it. It is hard to know what exactly you are asking.

Please do not yell at me. I am trying my best to remove offensive posts, while keeping everyone's posts who are expressing their viewpoints on subjects on the board. Just because someones view points are not the same as someone else's that is no reason for me to remove a post, but seeing a pic of a gun with the word Muslim I find is offensive and so I removed it.

It's hard to know what offends people now a days, except anyone with a different viewpoint.

If you want the picture back up put it back up.

I posted it because once I saw this subject brought up - again,

I figured it was only a matter of time before someone used the dreaded "R word," and there would be people trying to say that it's all made up. IMO, that's exactly what that picture (part of the freedom of speech controversy that the OP's article talks about) is.

With the 2 strikes (or 3? I don't remember) rule in your post below, I didn't want to see anyone get in trouble/banned for this reason when it's pretty clear from the deleted pic that their opinion would be justified.

that's not what that article says - nm
