Eric Holder just concluded a press conference and

Posted: Nov 25, 2014

(WARNING: I'm venting) he is going to continue the "civil rights" investigation into the Michael Brown death. Guess he's not satisfied with either the FBI or the Grand Jury's decision. Just has to keep this agitation going.

Do you think he would be doing this if the GJ indicted Wilson for murder? I doubt it.

Al Sharpless was also speaking today and he called for further protests all over the country until they get justice. That's a laugh since it was he who started inciting the people back in August and continued through the media ever since.  What kind of justice does he want? A free pass for any black that attacks someone?  Does he think the FBI didn't give justice to them when they investigated and found nothing?  Marsha Fudge feels it's a "miscarriage of justice." Dang! She's a Congresswoman!  Doesn't she understand what a Grand Jury does? She's letting her personal feelings into this fiasco.

I've been on a lot of news sites today and read a lot of comments and can't believe there is no outrage against those who rioted, looted, and burned the businesses. The media also incited these riots by calling MB a "innocent little boy." Yep! That was put out there, and there were many other statements put out there that turned out to be lies later...but by that time, it was too late. The info was deeply imbedded in the people's minds and nothing would change it.

What happened in Ferguson last night should never have happened. Surprisingly, the leaders are stating outside groups did not do any of the arson or looting. That's a wee hard to believe since the New Black Panther Party, Anonymous, the Communist Party, KKK, and other small fringe groups were there...but hey! Ferguson townspeople were the ones who destroyed their town. I watched the riots and the people who looted and burned were having a lot of fun. That's sad.

What was wrong with the governor of that state, too? He stated he called up the National Guard but the mayor said he tried to contact the governor so he could issue the "go" signal for them to come into the town, but he couldn't get ahold of him. Yet the governor stated there were 700 National Guard in town and he was calling more to join in tonight. Something doesn't seem kosher.

I should be shocked, but I'm not. - NPC

The president and attorney general should have been there in Ferguson standing alongside the prosecutor and everyone else in law enforcement to show unity and support of WHATEVER decision was handed down. What happened yesterday was an example of how our judicial system is supposed to work. Do BO and EH want to change that to work in their favor, too? Let's pray for peace and civility soon.

If I had incited a riot - like MBs stepfather

sorry excuse of a man? What an affront to mankind.

of course he is pursuing further investigation... - sm

An inquiry into criminal charges does not yield a decision on the basis of civil rights infringement, nor on the possibility of a civil case. Remember, OJ Simpson was exonerated on state charges, but found guilty in civil court.

I heard Al Sharpton urging protesters to be peaceful. I did not hear him as inciting, nor did I find him to be inciting in August.

I have not heard a single media voice refer to Michael Brown as an innocent little boy, though I have heard outrage from some media outlets who have fabricated such a sound byte.

As far as what a grand jury "does," it would be appropriate to investigate this point, as grand juries never hear directly from witnesses or defendants. This grand jury procedure was highly irregular (i.e., not Kosher).

Witnesses ARE heard in GJ procedures - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
interview with 70 witnesses. You don't go to trial FIRST and then convene a GJ. The GJ is called to find a true bill or not of specific cases as Lisa Bloom stated.

BTW,it is the prosecutor that brings cases to a GJ. During testimony, some "witnesses" recanted their statements or were found untrue. Even the friend who was with him stated he had lied in a video back in August. Wilson, who did NOT have to testify, did because he wanted to get his story out.

I don't know why they thought the GJ was considered injustice. I found that Lisa Bloom, a "Legal Analyst" for MSNBC and an attorney for supposedly 22 years was so ashamed for her justic system. Why? They did things by the book.

She said the officer shot "an unarmed MB twice in the car when he was running away"???? (guess he's a magician) and wonders why Wilson felt threatened for his life...well, maybe because MB was 6'4" and 290 lbs. and Wilson was 6'2" and 210 lb.? Could that be the reason?

Also, doesn't she know the law regarding GJs? It's not a trial, only the prosecuting attorney presents evidence so the GJ can make a decision. Then she has the nerve to state that Wilson didn't testify until after he talked to his lawyer. Well, wouldn't YOU talk to a lawyer before testifying at a hearing that might find you guilty of a crime? Doesn't Wilson have the sdame rightsd as any defendant? Evidently not, according to Lisa Bloom.

Even MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell practically attacked "witness #10." He acted like this was the ONLY witness. What was wrong with "retelling" his statement to the GJ? That's what they do. There were more than one witness stating MB was charging Wilson. #10's eyesight was questioned by LO: Why didn't they ask him when he had his last eye exam? Geez, can we get any more nitpicky?

A former ATF agent states they only firebombed one car and "it happens every night in every city. It's not a big deal." Really?

Rosie Perez on The View this morning stated that Wilson should have been indicted...why? BECAUSE HE NEVER HAD TO USE HIS GUN BEFORE. Huh? Is that a good solid reason to indict someone? If so, 90% of the police in this country should be indicted! What a stupid statement.

Sharpton incited the people in August. You mean you didn't see that video? Even at MB's funeral, he incited the people. By now, it's well known that wherever Sharpton goes, trouble follows. This, from someone who caused riots in the Tawana Bradley (sp?) case and Duke University's case. Destroying innocent lives is his agenda because he is a racist and a liar. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

As for innocent little boy, someone stated that on video to a news outlet. I can't seem to find the story on it, but here are 2 more:

Benjamin Crump:I don’t worry about the due process for Officer Wilson. I worry about the due process for the little black boy dead on the ground.

http://www.aol.com/article/2014/08/24/michael-brown-remembered-as-a-little-kid-in-a-big-body/20951678/

http://www.semissourian.com/story/2112439.html

Do you think it was fine that the NY Times published Wilson's address?

What about the people that LIED on the stand at the GJ? Shouldn't they be charged with perjury? What about those who destroyed businesses? Should they be left go without being charged with arson and assault? Should MB's stepfather be charged with inciting a riot the first night?

What also upsets me is how Obama stated "It's not my job as president to comment on ongoing investigations in specific cases" yet what did HE do? Off the top of my head is the professor from Cambridge, Trayvon Martin, and now Michael Brown. Plus what he did was also to take a side in all three of those cases. Watch the videos of his comments.

I was wrong to say never. Typically, however... - sm

witnesses' statements are summarized, and defendants do not testify for four hours. Even McCulloch knows that:

In his Oct. 31 press release, McCulloch explained that while “normally, homicide cases are heard by the grand jury in a concise manner with one or two investigators summarizing complex medical and scientific evidence, other physical evidence, and the statements of all witnesses,” in this case “all witnesses with any relevant evidence are being summoned to the grand jury to give their sworn testimony.”

A grand jury is not a trial. It is convened solely for the purpose of determining if an indictment should be made.

and she had a 5-minute "explanation" of what was not done in the GJ and what should have been done (indicted whether he was innocent or guilty).

This is what ticks me off. She's supposed to be a respected attorney, yet she aggravates the situation. She was definitely incensed because there was no "defense attorneys" present to ask questions of the witnesses. Most people don't know how GJs work and would just take her word for it because she made sure she was people knew she was an attorney.

Well, I'll tell ya what. I certainly don't think I'd want her for a lawyer.
yes, GJ's decide to indict whether innocent or guilty - sm

GJ's decide whether there is reason to bring criminal charges. They do NOT make determinations about guilt or punishment. That is not their role.

I just heard Greg Gutfeld say that he was listening to something called U-stream last night (the looters and agitators station, or something), and he said they are having FUN. They don't really care about Michael Brown or his parents, and are just looting and rioting cause it's exciting. This does not surprise me a bit. They looked awfully happy running out of the store with their loot. They can just do whatever. I'm not paying any more attention. If Holder is so concerned about crime, he should concern himself with the black on black crime, or the black on white crime, or the illegal aliens killing cops crime. That would keep him busy.

Outrage - all over

I don't know how you could MISS the outrage. I saw it all over today, on the news, in social media, on the radio. There's loads of outrage over the rioting.

Al Sharpton - a menace to society

[ In Reply To ..]
I happened to be watching tv today when the lawyers for the Brown family held their press conference - I did get one moment of satisfaction when Sharpton was introduced, the particular channel that I was watching cut away to their host - I quickly checked all the news channels (cable and broadcast) and found mostly commercials or that they had gone on to another part of the story - except MSNBC which was airing his speech - but, of course, he is "one of theirs" - thank goodness the other networks did not give Sharpton the time of day. He is just awful.....

Sharpton needs to be gagged.... - me

[ In Reply To ..]
They are all trying to make this punk look like an altar boy, which he most certainly was not....as far as civil rights, I believe it will be laughable if they try to take it that far based on the evidence - not to mention the fact that Michael Brown was a bully and arrested before. Guaranteed that if this had been a white kid shot, it would not have gotten a 1-inch spot on the back page of the newspaper. The KKK is too good for the likes of Al Sharpton and those like him. And, this may sound racist, but obviously the black population reactions show their mentality and way of dealing with things. To destroy their fellow blacks' storefronts on a rant because of "JUSTICE" - Sharpton, Obama, Holder should all be arrested for inciting and inflaming this situation, as should Michael Brown's parents. They clearly lied when saying they wanted peaceful demonstrations and reactions....

had an extensive juvenile record to the point that he was (or was going to be) charged for second degree murder. Don't really know how true this is, have to do more checking on it, but I know I can absolutely ignore MSNBC for facts like that. :)

I agree with everything you said, but - Sam

in defense of MB's parents, I believe it was only the stepfather who made an asinine fool out of himself and incited the riots Monday night. I otherwise agree with everything you said. When out in public, Sharpton needs to be muzzled like the rabid dog he is.
Anybody inciting riots should be arrested. There is no place - in society for that kind of behavior.

But then they were. They had the opportunity to quell the outbursts, but opted not to do that either. Then Al Charlatan gets involved. I could say more, but, well, you know...

As an American, I'm outraged, but if I say too much, I'll be accused of being racist even though no one knows the color of my skin.
Then the cops, the Grand Jury, and the media - should be arrested. They incited it.

from the get-go. The overkill in terms of SWAT-team police gear, which usually inflames the situation, rather than subduing it. The National Guard on standby. The long, drawn-out "reveal" of the GJ's "verdict". The TIMING of the "reveal" - nightfall.

Yes, white-cop-on-black-suspect violence is nothing new, and the reaction following it is nothing new, either. HOWEVER, the whole situation could have been diffused by at least indicting the cop on one of the lesser charges of negligence or 2nd degree manslaughter, so that a proper trial by JUDGE and JURY could then proceed.

Even without the indictment, the anger could have been diffused at least a little bit by admitting there is a HUGE problem in the way the police are trained to respond to such situations.

Yes, the looting and burning was wrong. (Except maybe the cop car... that seemed fair enough, to me!) However, exacerbating the damage by claiming it was "too dangerous" for the fire dept. to go in and fight the fires was the town just shooting itself in the foot.

Also, don't forget how demonstrations such as this during Occupy Oakland went down: Most of the damage there was NOT done by protesters (many of whom tried to stop it), it was done by black-clothing'ed, masked individuals, many of whom were suspected to be PLANTS to intentionally inflame the situation.

I believe most, if not all, of the damage in Ferguson was allowed to happen, and even possibly perpetrated by, the police department so that they would have a "See? Told ya so!" moment.
Indict the cop just so there would be no riots??? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Now THAT would be what I consider a setup.
No, indict the cop for shooting an unarmed, - and already-shot twice teen.
[ In Reply To ..]
The anger is that the cop used overkill (in the most literal sense) and is off scott-free, without so much as a hearing to look more deeply into the incident. Had the grand jury done its job, and requested that the matter be examined in a court of law, things would've been quiet afterward.
I trust the process worked. - SM
[ In Reply To ..]
While I may or may not agree with the decision of the grand jury, I respect that the process worked.

People have been bringing up the O.J. Simpson case. I absolutely disagreed with the jury in that case, but I had to accept it because the justice system worked as it was intended to work.

For instance, look at the football player who beat his wife unconscious and then dragged her out of an elevator by her feet. Caught on camera. Guilty as all get-out. Yet he's not in jail, and is no longer banned from professional football.

In ADDITION to protesting our corporate-sponsored, crooked police forces, we should all be boycotting NFL football.
The justice system was not allowed to work - in the Darren Wilson case
[ In Reply To ..]
There was no prosecution presenting a case. If McCulloch did not wish to present to the Grand Jury, I suppose he should have had the cojones to just refuse to present to the GJ and state there was no case, but McCulloch was covering his butt and threw the case, only when he had the fix in properly to make sure that his "duties" had been fulfilled but there would not be an indictment. Of course, if he had not presented the case to the GJ there would have been a much greater chance Nixon would have appointed a special prosecutor and then the case would have been out of McCullough's hands. Something really stinks in Missouri.

This is the whole point of the protests. The protests are because there is a whole Sheeple of the population that believes because authority said it was so, it must be justice. The people of Ferguson and many others at this point are asking the world to wake up. Just because the "justice" system in the person of the Prosecuting Attorney McCulloch has managed to manipulate the rules does not mean justice was served.
