Corporate Profitability at Six-Year High
Posted: Aug 1, 2017
Make sure you read everything so you will understand.
I expect to get flamed for this, but I really don't care.
Enjoy!
#MAGA;
Well, take it as you want. What does corporate - profits at six-year high
[ In Reply To ..]
mean for you and me? No, I was not spoon fed by Obama to believe that is a bad thing, as Rush Dumbau says, I just want you to explain how bigger profits for corporations helps you or I, unless you are a top 1% person. I haven't seen my wages go up, prices are still rising for me to buy things, I don't see anymore jobs out there than I have seen. I see corporation bonuses getting bigger and Wall Street pockets getting fuller.
Maybe my 401 will grow, but that happens all the time, then it will drop. That's just how it works with those.
I am not knocking the profits but just want to know how it benefits the middle and lower class.
Could protectionisms being removed have anything to do with it? Probably as you supporters think that is a good thing. Now they can go back to screwing us and the environment and make bigger profits without having to worry about screwing us and the environment.
Time will tell on how well we all fare from corporate profits jumping.
There, now you go ahead and flame away.
The cynic says "you didn't build that" but the reality is that - all businesses are either dying or being

renewed continually if you are static and not trying to improve. Socialism is cynicism, and cynicism cannot encompass that reality. Socialism assumes away effort at improvement, and promises quality health care or whatever when quality is impossible even to maintain, let alone improve, when socialism cannot allow individuals to seriously profit by serious efforts to improve.
Likewise oil production not only will not improve when no one is rewarded for exerting themselves and taking risks in order to increase it, oil production decreases in the absence of incentives to improve.
Awesome. Profits means business are hiring. BTW, - Happy 29th going into 30th year

Rush. Love ya! I remember the first time I heard him in 1992 in Chicago. I'm thinking, he's saying what I'm thinking. Ben a listener ever since.
Businesses hiring for low wages - CEOs profit

No it’s not...Same principles same outcome.
Look at Venezuela. Apparently the UN has starting to accuse the US of some things, so at least they know something is wrong. When they start to blame Israel, then we’ll know they are really paying attention. Worse then worthless organization.

...you might want to ask why that was.
It was during the 1960's, not recently. My dad - opened my eyes to how biased
[ In Reply To ..]
reporting was back then, especially about the Vietnam War.
He opened my eyes to the biased media when journalism - was pervaded by stories of how

unprepared our military would be when Iraq invaded Kuwait. In fact, it was presented as FACT by the Big 3 networks. It was depressing and scary. It was the post-Vietnam apocalypse mentality that was entrenched in the system.
Then, one day while driving through New Orleans, I heard this guy named Rush Limbaugh talking about how the military would in fact crush Iraq....about bombs and technology advances the media was not reporting. It was a positively upbeat assessment of how the U.S. military would do.
Of course, we now know he was spot on. The media was shown for what they were and are.
In college we used to listen to shortwave radio. You could - pick up all kinds of places

I am not anti-capitalist and neither are the liberals I know. We just know that huge profits for businesses does not mean anything to the working man. It means bigger bonuses for CEOs and the top 1%. Why do you feel they shouldn't reward the workers that made the products that helped them become the top 1%? Instead, they take that profit, give it to their big executives, buy robots to put more workers out of jobs or send them overseas so they can get even more profits. You keep tooting their horn but I bet you won't be invited to their celebration party.

No More Corporate Welfare!Apr 08, 2011I know it's not realistic to think that we could ever get to the point where people would pay the taxes they are supposed to pay, but that would solve our budget problems and nobody would go hungry. The middle class would have more money to spend and we would buy things from the big companies who make them. We would all save money because we would be driving on better roads, not tearing our cars apart, children will be getting a better education and not have to move in with their parents wh ...

Time For A Corporate SpringMay 26, 2012A common complaint in today’s world is one of disconnection. Our industrialized world has resulted in less contact with community — we don’t know our neighbors or who grows our food. In the same way that we’ve lost touch with a deeper sense of belonging and place, many of us have become disconnected from the soul of our work. The corporation-worker structure today is a master-servant relationship. We’re slaves to the company, working longer hours for less wage ...

HIgh-Speed Rail LinesNov 10, 2010Click on the link to see where billions and billions of stimulus money would go for high speed rail lines. Note that 3/4 of them do not connect to the rest of the country. They are mostly 'local' rail lines. At the bottom or side of the chart, you can click on each line and see the projected cost of each.
In my honest opinion, from reading some of the other newspapers and journals, most of these lines will be so fast, anywhere between 100-236 mph trains, yet only cut 1/2 ...
