Rep. Jim Clyburn on Sunday said Sharron Angle's endorsement of "Second Amendment remedies" in her losing Nevada campaign against Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid contributed to the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
Clyburn, the House assistant Democratic leader, said of Giffords' alleged assailant, Jared Lee Loughner: "It seems like this gentleman was not satisfied with the way the election came out. "There's no way you cannot make that connection (with Angle's rhetoric) unless you want to be stupid."
;He sure is one self-centered guy. The election had nothing to do with this. He's just venting because his party didn't come out on top and blaming it on the shooter.
Note what he says:
"In an earlier appearance on "Fox News Sunday," Clyburn accused some federal Transportation Security Administration airport screeners of having mistreated lawmakers at times.
"TSA, I think, needs to begin to interact with our Capitol Hill Police (escorts) better," he said. "We have had some incidents where TSA authorities think that Congress (members) should be treated like everybody else."
My thoughts on his above coments is is why shouldn't Congress (members) be treated like everybody else at airports? They could just as easily have contraband on them.
